"Fabulous Motswiri Safari"

1 night Arrived 21 Mar 2014
"Overall we had a fantastic time at Motswiri.

The Camp staff were warm and welcoming, our guide, Andrew, was very friendly and knowledgable. The camp cook went out of her way to accommodate my daughter's special diet (no wheat, corn, or soy). This allowed her to feel included in all meals and activities. In general, our accommodations were very enjoyable.

"Terrific time at Motswiri Camp"

3 nights Arrived 19 Jun 2013
"We have travelled to Africa many times and it was lovely to come to a camp that was small, intimate and a reminder of how Africa was for us, before it became so busy and corporate!

My husband was the horse rider and he was spoilt as he was the only rider in the camp. He had six amazing rides with Johnno Carmen and the excellent Botswana groomsmen.. The horses were very well looked after and easy to ride, he highly recommends the whole experience. I was very well looked after also and could choose whether to go on a walk boat, Mokoro or game drive.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Visit this camp even if you do not ride you will not be sorry!" See all these reviews: 15n in Botswana

"Georgeous isolated setting"

3 nights Arrived 6 Aug 2012
"We were very lucky to have the camp to ourselves and - it seemed - no one within miles around. Grant and Machete were great guides, got the children interested in lots of things that they previously had not experienced and were endlessly helpful. A walking trip near angry elephants was a particular highlight.

The fly camp was much more comfortable than we expected and at the same time gave the children more of a "camping" feel." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana

"A walkers' and riders' paradise"

4 nights Arrived 7 Jan 2012
"In a word, fabulous. This is an especially beautiful and unspoilt corner of Botswana which is continuing to blossom as water returns to the spillway with the 30-year tectonic cycle running into a new phase. We spent four super days with, as advertised by RAW, minimal "truck time" (ie the drive to Hippo Pools which was well worth the trip and which riders would do by horse), mainly walking with the odd boat trip and identifying over 120 bird species in the process (a record, incidentally, as the camp's Facebook page has recorded!).

Grante Truthe is a truly first-rate guide (well supported by Letota and Lake) as well as being excellent company. The camp, overseen by James, is very well run and very comfortable; and the quality of the meals was consistently high - further enhanced by the quality of the mealtime conversations.

Although we were concentrating on the birdlife, there were plenty of mammals around and that population is set to increase as the cycle progresses.

In sum, we strongly recommend Motswiri to anyone who enjoys walking and, although we are not expert riders, would have no hesitation doing the same to riders looking at horseback safari options." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana
