Pearl-spotted Owl Safari

Pearl-spotted Owl Safari

This 4 night adventure takes place on the Selinda Spillway - one of the most picturesque waterways in Botswana. The nature of the Selinda Adventure Trail is dictated by water levels in this seasonal channel - when they are high the trail will be a combined canoeing and walking safari, and when they are low it will be a pure walking expedition.

A canoe and walking trail really allows participants to get closer to and appreciate the unique insect, amphibian, reptile and bird life of the Okavango Delta. You can expect to come across many large animals too. The vast Selinda Reserve is well known for its large numbers of elephant and buffalo. Other possible sightings include lion, leopard and cheetah. This trip would be very complimentary indeed to a safari focusing on the dryer areas of the Okavango.

You'll be staying at very comfortable mobile camps, which are broken down every morning and moved on ahead, all to be set-up by the time you arrive at camp after a days canoeing or walking.

This safari can be combined with any of our other Botswana fly-in safaris to make a longer trip. It can also easily be combined with a visit to Livingstone in Zambia or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone or trips to Victoria Falls for examples of the add-on options, as well as the costs.

This is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.
