This Botswana safari has you staying in two different areas in the Okavango Delta where you will stay for a total of 7 nights in two top safari camps: the luxurious Sandibe Safari Lodge and either Xaranna or Xudum Camp which are set among scenic waterways. Both these areas are rich in bird life, among a variety of other wildlife. While big game is not the main stay at either Xaranna or Xudum, Sandibe does have lion and leopard as permanent predators.
This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to Livingstone in Zambia or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone or trips to Victoria Falls for examples of the add-on options, and the costs.
The trip is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.
Beginning in Maun, you will be met and transferred to a light aircraft flight to the Sandibe Reserve. Here during your 3-night stay at the stylish Sandibe Safari Lodge you will explore an area reliably known for its predator sightings with your knowledgeable guide.
After your morning activity, you will board a small plane for a short hop to your next camp; Xaranna or Xudum. From the airstrip, it is about a 1.5 - 2 hour game drive and boat transfer to camp. Both these camps are very smart. The scenery is lovely and bird life spectacular. However while there is a variety of wildlife to be seen, these camps are more about a change of scene and pace and a chance to explore the Delta's tranquil waterways, than spotting big game. You will be based at either of these camps for 3 nights.
From Xaranna or Xudum, a light aircraft flight back to Maun, will connect you with your own onward travel arrangements.
