"My Aug 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 17 Aug 2013 and 7 Sep 2013
"Saskia was amazing. She catered to our every need. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I am delighted, my boyfriend is delighted and our pictures will be amazing. We couldn't be happier. Saskia never mentioned the waterfalls at Epupa falls so that was a delight. Make sure people know to cherish their time at the water hole at Okaukeujo and that morning drives are no big deal. We enjoyed our extras we threw in...the petrified forest, the dinosaur tracks, and the water fall we saw on the way to Epupa falls, Ongongo falls. IT was one of our favorite parts of the trip. Many of our suggestions were listed in the hotel section, so read them carefully.

THere was not a place to review N'aankuse. It had tighter fenced in animals but it allowed us to get some excellent head shots of leopard, lion, cheetah. We had never seen wild dog before so that was a treat. Sounds like they run a huge volunteer oriented facility. The drive in and out was longer than expected. I wish we could have gotten a room here. They seemed a little uppity to me ...but were flexible with us when we decided not to drive back in the dark and cancelled dinner and the bush men story time. Arno thinks having Bush men flown in to their camp is absurd. I am sorry we missed them though.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
This feedback form was aggravating. It doesn't save each page as you go along so 2x I had to start totally over. I am writing a lot so that was aggravating. If I had to return to it, I had to scroll thru all the pages to get to where I was going. A tab system or a drop down box would have been better. Each page needs to be saved when you continue to the next page." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 18 on a Namibia trip

"Top 5% of 70 counties visited!"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 8 Aug 2013 and 20 Aug 2013
"The trip started off with a big Bang with planing with Expert Africa. Saskia was incredible! She planned the trip exactly the way we hoped for, with many additions / suggest to add to a fantastic experience. We wouldn't hesitate to go on Expert African trips again, or recommend to our friends.

Namibia has such diversity in landscape and people, providing an ever changing and intense experience from day to day. We have travelled to 40 countries in the last 3 years, and total of 75 countries in life time, we both would rate our experience in Namibia as top 5% of countries we visited and Expert Africa / Saskia as the best travel agency we have dealt with." "Namibian adventure"

I visited Namibia between 5 Aug 2013 and 19 Aug 2013
"Sabina was always very helpful and came up with some great suggestions. Everything ran like clockwork and there were no nasty surprises or problems.

Nearly all our accommodation and activities exceeded our expectations. It is very rare when that happens!

I would strongly recommend Expert Africa to our friends. Well done!

"Amazing experience. It is a great country with lovely people. The ideal first African experience.

We only wish we could have seen the Caprivi strip/push it to the Victoria falls instead of going back to Windhoek." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Namibia trip

"My Aug 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 1 Aug 2013 and 20 Aug 2013
"Really great.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Try to talk to namibian tourism about their government lodges. Let down by bad service and sullen behaviour, especially from office staff (mostly women) who seem put out when asked to do anything. maids, waiters, etc all fine.

Doro Nawas has some glitches, which we assume are the product of it being a joint venture with the locals. We would not go there again. It costs almost the same as Mowani and lacks something special. Needs attention." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip

"My Jul 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 31 Jul 2013 and 18 Aug 2013
"We loved the whole Namibia adventure - the bush, the desert, the mountains and, of course the welcome of the people at all times. We will recommend it to our friends as a once in a lifetime African experience.

Due to the high season and the late booking, we were obliged to choose some accomodation which did not always meet our standards of comfort and food service. Unfortunately the last 3 accomodation choices were substantially inferior to the first 4 choices.

It would have been helpful to know in advance that the rooms and the tents would be very cold - at night and early morning - as they had no room heating. We weren't prepared (with the right clothing) at these times and for the game drives and this
did affect our health and thus our enjoyment.

This was made worse by the drought, which caused very low temperatures across the country early morning and late at night - less than 10° and -3 at Windhoeck on one morning!!

The advice and support ( patience !) of Gwynneth was outstanding at all times and greatly appreciated. This was an important part in the planning and the success of the holiday. So many thanks to her." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"Unforgetable Holiday!"

I visited Namibia between 25 Jul 2013 and 14 Aug 2013
"Can't praise Sabina and Expert Africa enough for all their help and guidance to make our holiday so enjoyable!

We can't really find anything to fault as everywhere you suggested we stay was excellent.

Just one last point to help others!

Don't fill up your car with petrol in Windhoek on your way back to the airport!

We did, and Budget charged us nearly £30 for fuel! Be warned!" Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 19 on a Namibia trip

"Trip of a lifetime"

I visited Namibia between 23 Jul 2013 and 8 Aug 2013
"We were thrilled with our trip. Namibia was an excellent choice for so many reasons. Such a beautiful and unspoilt country - with incredibly well-designed and high-end tourist facilities. First class hotels and delicious food. Good roads and safe to drive. Incredibly varied experiences, amazing animals, wonderful people, fascinating and troubled history.

The whole family (two adults and two teenage boys) loved this truly memorable trip. An amazing adventure which we would highly recommend.

We were also blown away by the superb advice and service we received from Sabina at Expert Africa. She worked so hard to plan our trip and take our preferences into account. Once we were in Namibia, she was also extraordinarily helpful, even phoning our emergency contact in London to track us down when we left a coat behind in a hotel - and then phoning us directly in Namibia - and all this within half an hour of us checking out. We were also very impressed and grateful that Wilderness Safaris organized an upgrade for us at Okaukuejo once they realized they'd made a mistake with our booking. And we were thrilled that Sabina recommended that we stay at Erongo despite the fire - excellent advice on her part that resulted in one of the most memorable 24 hours of our entire trip.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We found Expert Africa to be a remarkable company and cannot thank you enough for an amazing experience.

"My Jul 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 22 Jul 2013 and 6 Aug 2013
"Trip was nice but I became tired of the long car journeys torwards the end. Also, on balance, while we enjoyed our trip a lot, it was very very expensive we felt. Comparing our trip with holidays we've done down through recent years, Malaysia, Cuba, Mauritius, Egypt, Central America, we felt that our money for accommodation didn't really go very far! What I'm trying to say I guess, is that I feel you need to spend an excessive amount of money to stay somewhere nice in Namibia.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

"My Jul 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 18 Jul 2013 and 1 Aug 2013
"After looking forwards to a trip for a trip to Namibia for many years my hopes were high. Both my wife's and my hopes were more than met. We saw everything we hoped to see and had a great adventure., Everything went according to plan a (except the Erongo lodge) with flights, car hire and accommodation all first rate. We really couldn't have wished for more.

Namibia is a fantastic place to go on a do it yourself safari trip as it feels very safe, the roads are quiet and the locals were all very friendly, helpful and knowlegdable. We didn't encounter any negative attitudes or pressure to buy in markets or shops and the Namibians are clearly proud of their country and keen to impress travellers.

We saw a huge amount of animals in Etosha and elsewhere brought back some fantastic photographs and memories. If only we could start it all over again!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Just to reinforce the care needed when driving on the gravel roads. We had a bit of a hairy moment and saw one car overturn on the costal road north of Swakopmund." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
