"Cornerstone Guesthouse is a very welcoming and comfortable B&B within walking distance of all Swakopmund attractions.

Staff, including the owner, were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 1st class.

The B&B helped organise a brilliant trip to Sandwich harbour south of Walvis Bay.

Would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting Swakopmund.

For dinner, "The Tug" down by the jetty is a great option, as is the little Doughnut Bar on the jetty for a fun coffee stop." See all these reviews: 23n in Namibia

"Cornerstone Guesthouse review"

3 nights Arrived 14 Nov 2023
"A really lovely guesthouse - well appointed as only about 5 mins from main street and pier, lovely breakfast and the room was large and spacious with a small patio outside your room.

We had visited previously and found another part of town we missed previously near the lighthouse, with nice bars and restaurants.

We felt very safe here, and people are friendly - some beggars but they are not aggressive and as soon as you tell them no - they go - which is a plus in Africa.

Would definitely stay here again." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Cornerstone Guesthouse review"

2 nights Arrived 26 Oct 2023
"This guesthouse was really lovely and the staff went out of their way to make it comfortable for us.

They made an extension to the bed for Tom who is 6'11 and decorated the suite with red petals and heart shaped towels to celebrate our honeymoon. It was close to amenities but in a quiet area.

We had laundry done whilst there that was quick and perfectly organised while we were out.

Whilst in Swakop we were aware of the need to be vigilant but felt very safe in the guest-house" See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Comfortable stopover in Swapokmund"

2 nights Arrived 19 Oct 2023
"A comfortable stay for 2 nights. Very close to town centre, a good restaurant just across the street. Several more restaurants within 10-15minutes walk.

Swakopmund is an opportunity to buy take home gifts. There are two or three shops in town which sell locally produced items.

The Kristall Galerie is well worth a visit. For a small entrance fee you can browse their amazing collection of rocks and minerals. Should you wish you can buy mineral specimens or jewellery." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 4n in South Africa

"Cornerstone Guesthouse review"

2 nights Arrived 26 Sep 2023
"The location of Cornerstone was perfect - an easy walk to the ocean and to the town, including the restaurants, but also very quiet.

I loved the garden and the terrace off our room. There is a minibar in the room that was well stocked and I was able to take advantage of that to have drinks on the terrace. I also appreciated the caffetiere and real coffee that was provided in the room as I was waking up very early and could have a proper coffee before breakfast.

A good and varied breakfast in a restful breakfast room. Helpful proprietors and friendly staff. Overall a great stay!" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Cornerstone Guesthouse review"

2 nights Arrived 4 Sep 2023
"This was a very pleasant guesthouse, clean and well appointed with a good breakfast.

The reception staff helped us with supper bookings in local restaurants which were good, generally wholesome food. My friends had a disappointing meal but my sole was good.

Swakopmund was rather cold and generally lacking in much to do and see, although the museum there was excellent, full of interesting facts and artefacts about Namibia’s history, geology, flora and fauna.

The flamingoes at Wallis Bay were great and the seal colony on the way to the Skeleton Coast was amazing if rather smelly!" See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
