Winelands Private Tour

Winelands Private Tour

Overview: Winelands Private Tour

You will be collected from your hotel after breakfast and head off towards the Cape Winelands, a drive of about 60 minutes.

Explore Stellenbosch, South Africa’s oldest town, with its oak lined streets and beautiful Cape Dutch architecture.

From here travel over the dramatic Helshoogte Pass, with its vineyard-covered mountains, to the historic town of Franschhoek, which dates back to the 17th century when the French Huguenots first arrived in the Cape. Visit a winery and enjoy a wine tasting before lunch at one of Franschhoek’s award-winning restaurants (not included in the cost).

In the afternoon visit Paarl, another well-known town in the wine area, set at the base of a rocky outcrop called Paarl Rock (the name Paarl comes from the old Dutch word pearl – from the sun shining on the rock).

After exploring this historic town you then head back to the city of Cape Town, arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Because this tour is private it is flexible and can be tailored to suit your interests.
