"Overall Review of Expert Africa Trip to Tanza"

I visited Tanzania between 26 Aug 2009 and 3 Sep 2009
"We are not normally prone to superlatives but can safely say that every aspect of our trip from the moment we first contacted Expert Africa exceeded all our expectaions, and by a considerable margin. This truly was a trip of a lifetime for us and something that we will never forget.

We could not possibly have contemplated this without the expert advice, guidance and assistance from Expert Africa.

Suggestions for improvements:

Perhaps it is actually a good thing but If anything, your brochure probably undersold the camps and lodges that we visited. They were far better than we had expected them to be." Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"Great Southern Tanzania safari"

I visited Tanzania between 8 Aug 2009 and 24 Aug 2009
"We did have great expectations for our trip through Southern Tanzania - and were not disappointed.

The standard of the camps was consistently excellent, game viewing extraordinary and everything worked without a hitch. These parks can only be recommended for everyone who likes to be a bit off the beaten track and form a truly unique safari experience.

Further comments:

Excellent advice and great work as we have come to know from Expertafrica." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 15 on a Tanzania safari

"A memorable family holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 12 Feb 2009 and 22 Feb 2009
"I was drawn to Expert Africa by the quality of the website and this was supported by Eleanor understanding our brief straight away and sorting the itinerary. However we felt really let down when we had paid (I was given a 24 hour deadline to pay) and then told we couldn't do it because availability had not been checked fully and neither the suggested internal flights or suggested hotel rooms were available! It was then a scramble to try to find something that worked, which was more stressful than it should have been, involving compromise and additional cost on our part.

The trip itself was a wonderful experience and our expectations managed well. Expert Africa clearly know the accomodation in Tanzania and despite the early hiccup did deliver a great family holiday" Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"Yet another wonderful trip to Tanzania"

I visited Tanzania between 5 Oct 2008 and 19 Oct 2008
"Excellent trip. Everything went very smoothly as usual - we did not have to think about connections, being met etc. as Expert Africa had done all that for us. The only issue and it was not much of an issue was the unexpected change from Foxes Safari Camp to Vuma Hills Camp in Mikumi - but it did not affect our overall enjoyment - we knew that if Expert Africa had known about this we would have been told straightaway.

We are often asked why we go to more than one camp in an area - but each camp offers a very different experience - but we could Safari for much longer than we did this time and enjoy every single day! We are looking forward to planning our next trip with you! Many thanks

Suggestions for improvement:

We have not come across an issue that would need improvement so nothing to add here - we are very satisfied with all that you offer." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 14 on a Tanzania safari

"Generally we enjoyed our trip to Tanzania but missed the early starts that we had enjoyed in Zambia.

The guiding was variable in quality with Beho Beho being excellent and Lake Manze pretty dire. Ras Kutani was pretty and very relaxing and Mwagusi pretty good." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Tanzania safari

I visited Tanzania between 2 Oct 2008 and 14 Oct 2008
"We had an excellent holiday, enjoyed our first visit to Tanzania very much indeed and we shall consider going back next year.
It was very interesting going from Dar to Ras Katani by mini bus especially waiting for the overloaded ferry at the fish market!

We noticed a much more relaxed attitude to clothing at the camps compared with the more strict neutral colour requirements in Zambia when on activities.

Suggestions for improvement:

Sorry no, because we have enjoyed all our trips with you immensely." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 11 on a Tanzania safari

"A honeymoon to remember"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 11 Aug 2008 and 26 Aug 2008
"We really feel we had the best honeymoon we could have done, and are so glad we chose Tanzania, and Expert Africa to help us achieve this. Ellie really listened to what kind of an experience we wanted, all her recommendations were true to what she'd said, and suited us in terms of what we'd asked for, and our budget.

Going on safari is expensive, and we were initially quite taken aback at how much it does cost - however we could both see where our money had gone in terms of accomodation, food, guiding and ambience of the places we stayed. I don't think you would get that at bigger camps or on a more budget trip, so we were glad we balanced the safari part with the beach part - it's good you can do this.

It was a great choice to visit both Selous and Ruaha as the terrain is very different, and so was the difference in how close you could get to the animals - the ones at Selous, especially zebra, were more skittish than at Ruaha due to it being a game reserve as opposed to a national park.

We would definitely use Expert Africa again - we're already dreaming about coming back during migration to the Lamai wedge! and have already recommended you to some of our friends wanting to go on safari.

Thanks for getting things right for us, we had a great time in a beautiful and friendly country.
