The meandering Rufiji River lies at the heart of Nyerere National Park

It forms a complex network of channels, lakes and swamps.

It is a great place for game viewing...

...as well as admiring the beautiful scenery.

Wild dogs can be spotted...

...and also herds of elephant.

Nyerere National Park also has an extraordinary birdlife...

...with over 440 species.

...and elephants as they come down to the river.

Nyerere National Park is worth a visit.

"Tanzania July 14"

I visited Tanzania between 17 Jul 2014 and 29 Jul 2014
"We did 3 days in Selous, 3 days in Ruaha, 3 days on Mafia island and 3 days on Chole Mjini. A really good balance with some great game viewing and 'Indian Ocean' activities and a chance to wind down.

The country, the people , the climate, the places we stayed and food and other facilities outstanding - would recommend Tanzania as a holiday destination

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

You might want to warn people who go to Mafia that their Marine Park payment receipt will need to be available when they leave" Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"Great honeymoon destination"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 14 Jul 2014 and 29 Jul 2014
"Very well thought out trip with a great balance of beach and safari. Having two days on the beach first is definitely recommended to relax after the wedding / flight.

For safari would definitely recommend Beho Beho - Selous is a great options as we saw lots of game but without the crowds (some days we didnt see another jeep at all).

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Not sure if its possible, but think about using another carrier than Costal Air.

Thank you for organising such an amazing honeymoon for us." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"Our special family holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 14 Jul 2014 and 28 Jul 2014
"Our trip was everything we had hoped for and more. We wanted an exceptional holiday to celebrate various milestone birthdays in our family and to enjoy possibly our last family holiday (eldest children 18 and 21).

This holiday provided something for everyone, busy week safari followed by relaxing week on the coast. Perfect exceptional and memorable holiday." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"My jul 2014 trip"

I visited Tanzania between 11 Jul 2014 and 21 Jul 2014
"The trip as a whole was good. All arrangements were perfect and the camps with staff was very nice. The thing we weren't 100% satisfied with was the wildlife. This may be because we have already experienced a lot on previous safaris, also in places that are less commercial and visited than for example the Serengeti and the Masai Mara.

Lake Manze was much better for us than the Impala camp. We liked the rustic camp a lot, and the scenery and wildlife sightings was overall much better." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"East Africa odyssey"

I visited Tanzania and 2 other countries between 26 Jun 2014 and 6 Jul 2014
"The staff at expert Africa were excellent. Despite British airways losing my luggage. The staff were with me all of the way hearing my endless complaints and urgency to locate it! Customer service was open 24 hours to talk me through different scenarios! Much time was wasted trying to locate my luggage.

Extra thanks to Elizabeth Wollen, for her never ending empathy and help in tracking my bag!" Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 5 on a Tanzania safari
