The meandering Rufiji River lies at the heart of Nyerere National Park

It forms a complex network of channels, lakes and swamps.

It is a great place for game viewing...

...as well as admiring the beautiful scenery.

Wild dogs can be spotted...

...and also herds of elephant.

Nyerere National Park also has an extraordinary birdlife...

...with over 440 species.

...and elephants as they come down to the river.

Nyerere National Park is worth a visit.

"Trip of a lifetime"

I visited Tanzania between 23 Jan 2010 and 5 Feb 2010
"We had amazing safaris, and saw so much more Big Game than we dared hope. The camps were fabulous.

All the Guides, Trackers, Drivers and Ascari were of the highest standard.... Huge thanks to them all.

Diving on Mafia Island, I saw amazing corals, shark, ray, and swam with Whale Shark. Wow

I visited Zanzibar and 1 other country between 11 Jan 2010 and 24 Jan 2010
"Our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was our first to the african continent and I can truly say that we have come back with some incredible memories- of friendly people, endearing culture, breathtaking scenery and amazing wildlife.

Our experience surpassed all expectations and the variety of locations and accommodation made this the trip of a lifetime. Thank you to all at Expert Africa, especially Claire, for helping to make the holiday so special. (and so easy!)

"Fantastic Tanzania"

I visited Zanzibar and 1 other country between 12 Dec 2009 and 25 Dec 2009
"This was the holiday of a lifetime, everything ran smoothly and the organisation of the whole trip was very good.

We are quite widely travelled and rarely return to the same place but we would certainly return to Tanzania and Zanzibar with Expert Africa.

"Overall a great holiday"

I visited Zanzibar and 1 other country between 13 Nov 2009 and 27 Nov 2009
"Overall trip was excellent.

Help/advice given by Claire beforehand was also excellent and the detail on the website very accurate.

Fishermans Tours were always on time and the vehicles in good condition but we felt that they drove too fast most of the time.

We used Eco + Culture for 2 tours whilst in Zanzibar- both were very good. Guide was fantastic." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zanzibar holiday

"Our Best African Safari To Date"

I visited Tanzania between 31 Oct 2009 and 13 Nov 2009
"We have been on a few safaris in various African Countries and without a doubt this was the best we have done.
From the initial enquiry to Claire, through to the very efficient transfers from airports to camps. It was very well organised. Thank you.

All 3 camps came up to our expectations because you had given us all the correct and relevant information.

The wildlife watching, which was principally our aim, was very very good in Selous. Obviously in Ruaha a lot of the large game had gone to find the earlier rain in the hills, but we saw so much more variety because of the rain.

So, a very big thank you to Expert Africa. We will hopefully be back for more safari experiences (when we have saved up again !!!)" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"A really striking trip"

I visited Tanzania between 19 Oct 2009 and 27 Oct 2009
"It was a wonderful trip - we never expected to see quite so much game, and to have quite such close encounters.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

This is not a criticism - just a suggestion... There's a lot of literature sent out and it might be helpful if some of the salient points, such as baggage weight restrictions and the requirement for yellow fever innoculations, could be emphasised either by e-mail or over the phone once a booking is confirmed."
