"A wonderful trip"

I visited Zambia between 7 Jul 2014 and 20 Jul 2014
"It was Claire who dealt most helpfully and knowledgably with our booking (see ratings below) But our heartfelt thanks go to Ellie who was most sympathetic and helpful when we were stuck at Heathrow and then stranded in Johannesburg.

Our overall trip was wonderful and we saw vast numbers of game and other wildlife. It was all a big adventure and an amazing experience. We did learn that to get the best outcome you may need to SAY what you want. However the phrase "a small portion please" never seemed to have the desired effect!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No, everything was very well done." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Zambia safari

"Our Zambia trip"

I visited Zambia between 6 Jul 2014 and 15 Jul 2014
"As you will understand from my comments, we were very satisfied with our trip. However there are a couple of minor issues that I would like to mention. First, in our voucher for the River Club, you write that a visit to Livingstone museum is included in the price. However, the lady responsible for our activities at the River Club simply said that It was not, that Expert Africa had made a mistake, and consequently charged the sum to our account. It was not a big sum, but it irritated me at the time.

Then there was an inaccuracy concerning our transfer from Shiwa to Tafika. We were supposed to go via Mfuwe, but we realized that there had to be a misunderstanding and we could go direct by air to Tafika. This was however, easily cleared up.

Finally, as you will know, I have to mention the delayed arrival of our travel documents. As you know they arrived only a week before departure. How that can be avoided, I don't know." Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 8 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Zambia between 29 Jun 2014 and 14 Jul 2014
"We had an excellent time. No stress. Recreational value was high.
The sequence of the travel has been very well planned. The information was good.
All lodges were very nice. Each had a different attraction.
The staff and the guides were very friendly and patient.
We saw a lot of animals in different interactions.
The food was great (lots of home made cakes and desserts).

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We saw very little insects (also due to the season). Nevertheless I would recommend a white screen to attract them. So you could watch them in the evening." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"Our 2014 safari to Zambia"

I visited Zambia between 29 Jun 2014 and 12 Jul 2014
"Zambia is a fantastic country for a safari and offers good value for money. We were delighted with our overall itinerary as the 3 camps in different National Parks worked extremely well together.

All of the organisational aspects ran perfectly. We were particularly happy with you advice to take a direct charter from Mwaleshi to Old Mondoro as this saved us so much time – we were in a game vehicle at Old Mondoro by 9.30am. We also had the most remote room in each camp, not sure if this was a coincidence, but we were very happy about this nevertheless.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Keep doing what you are doing." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Zambia between 27 Jun 2014 and 4 Jul 2014
"The walking really put even the excellent drives of day one in the shade, absolutely made by the quality of Brent's guiding - incredibly knowledgable, great communicating style, and sensitive handling of group dynamics.

Only real reservations were the following.

The lack of a direct flight made the journey far more onerous than it need have been.

The advice re the need of warm clothing missed the mark for us. The temperatures were very comfortable at all times of day (and apparently typical for the time of year). I never needed more than a shirt from 5.30am until going to bed at 10pm! What this meant was that my luggage ( we were determined to take no more than hand luggage) was quite unnecessarily bulked, and weighted up with the warm clothing recommended.

However, this was a relatively minor annoyance when set against the superb overall experience. Your recommendation absolutely reflected what we had been looking for.

An afterthought. It might be helpful for you to know that I suffered no insect bites at all (and Nigel just one)' whereas others passing through from other camps elsewhere had been badly bitten by Tsetse flys." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zambia safari

"A memorable and well-organised trip"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 22 Jun 2014 and 12 Jul 2014
"We had a great holiday and were happy with all our accommodation choices.....we made small suggestions for improvements but had no cause for complaints.

On reflection we might have changed the length of stays towards the end of the trip e.g. an extra day near Victoria Falls and one day less in Hwange N.P. in Zimbabwe. We very much appreciated the advice provided during the planning of our holiday and the information and service given during this process. The brochure and the travel documents supplied were comprehensive and helpful.

We would certainly consider planning/booking another trip with Expert Africa based on our first experience of the company." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"A superb Zambian Safari"

I visited Zambia between 19 Jun 2014 and 29 Jun 2014
"We had a wonderful holiday. It was well organised by Expert Africa. The wildlife was beyond our expectations and we appreciated the knowledge and expertise of the guides in finding the wildlife and imparting the information it all to us. All three camps were comfortable and Nsefu, particularly, was set in a superb location. Two lions wandering past the bar early one afternoon certainly added some excitement to our day!

"Great country - great trip"

I visited Zambia between 18 Jun 2014 and 24 Jun 2014
"My trip was a very pleasant acquaintance with Zambia. I visited Livingstone, town and Victoria Falls, first and then went on safari in South Luangwa, known as one of the most beautiful parks of Africa.
Zambia is a nice country between the east and south of Africa, the country itself is beautiful, people are very friendly and it is a good place to travel.

Expert Africa arranged the safari part of my trip; professionally and quickly - when needed in a weekend - and I am very glad I found them on my way." Read full review: 6 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zambia safari

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Zambia between 14 Jun 2014 and 23 Jun 2014
"It was an amazing trip, organised very well by Claire. She was very helpful when we found we had a 2 hr delay in leaving Heathrow. She contacted Skytrails so they knew we were probably going to be late and made sure I had the right phone numbers to call them once we had reached Johannes burg. This ensured we got back on track and reached our final destination without to much trouble. Thank you, Claire, for all your help" Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari
