Main description of Sultan Palace
Voted Tanzania’s best hotel in 2005, the Sultan Palace is set against a backdrop of unspoilt wilderness, an endless expanse of white sands and the aquamarine waters of the Indian Ocean. The surrounding area features two lovely fishing villages dotted with huts, pleasant walkways through the mangroves where herons in flight are often sighted, the possibility of boat trips, or, when the tide is low, snorkelling outings to discover the striking colours and richness of underwater marine life or simply to admire the beauty of the coral. Built in 1996, the Sultan Palace has since been completely renovated to ensure guests experience a high class holiday. The limited number of rooms means that visitors are treated to personalized service and pampering.
