Situated along the banks of the Ruaha River, Amara (or Simbazi Selous as it's sometimes known) opened in February 2010 and is one of the newest lodges in the Selous.

This new lodge is still settling into its surroundings. It is important to point out that we haven't experienced the guiding first hand, but we think that the chic design of Amara, and the experienced management couple in charge, will make it a good option for families and couples seeking privacy and intimacy alike.
