The Platform (Dove's Nest)

Apart from the standard chalets The Hide also offers the chance to spend an evening in an elevated tree house known as the Dove's Nest. This is positioned in a leadwood tree which stands in a plain within the national park. On the ground floor there is a bathroom containing a shower and a flush toilet. The middle floor offers a viewing platform where lunch can also be served on request. At the top level there is a bedroom containing a double-bed with a radio back up used to communicate with the main camp should it be necessary. This top floor is covered with gauze and canvas which protects guests from mosquitoes and other wildlife at night.
