"The room was dark, damp and smelled musty. The bed felt damp and cold. I have asthma and I coughed constantly. The carpet was dirty.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel.It was a bad start to our holiday."

"Amazing food, the best food we have ever had on holiday. Extremely helpful and friendly staff without exception. Lovely cottage, great location, beautiful sand on the long beach, although there was a lot of seaweed that could have been cleaned up to make it look even better.

The biggest concern which you should tell others was the inability to enter the sea due to thousands of sea urchins.The village you had to drive through was quite distressing to see the poverty and squalor and the road into the lodge was in dire need of repair and improvement. Apart from these few issues we would not hesitate to recommend this resort.

"Absolutely fantastic accommodation, amazing furnishings and facilities, especially the outdoor shower.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful especially when my husband was sick. Gave him medication, fluid replacement and even cooked him special plain food.

The game drives were very informative and the sundowners on the lake and lunch were amazing. The pool area was most relaxing with the birds flying and singing around the pool. Very peaceful indeed.

The guards escorting us backwards and forwards were so friendly and to be admired."

"Beautiful lagoon cottage with an amazing 8ft wide bed and a wonderful bathroom.

Stunning long beach, could walk for miles and largely deserted.lovely sea but a bit rough especially at high tide. Food was great especially lunches, healthy, largely vegetarian. Frankie and Leo were very supportive when my husband was sick and provided medication and cooked him plain alternative food.

I burnt my feet and when they saw how miserable I was on the last day they organised a sundowner cruse on the lagoon to cheer me up. In general it lived up to our expectation and we would recommend it and would return again."
