"Such a fabulous stay."
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Porini Bush Camp which meant was extremely comfortable. Again the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food superb. Our driver Ben and his assistant were again excellent.
We jokingly said that what we wanted to see was a pride of lions with cubs, a kill, wildebeast river crossing, cheetahs and leopard; we saw them all. Again the range of wildlife was huge and the landscape beautiful. We went somewhere different every day and Ben changed the plans to fit in with what we wanted. Sundowners watching the sunset were memorable.
Such a fabulous stay." See all these reviews: 14n in Kenya

"Ol Kinyei Adventure Camp review"
Very similar to Selenkay, but we did like the solar lights hanging in our tents every evening when we came back from dinner (Selenkay should add this.) It was also shadier, so we weren't as hot in the tents napping during the day. We appreciated the buckets, soap and drying lines for laundry. The water pressure in the showers was also a little slower, so our showers lasted a little longer!
Nice big meal tent with charging table and assorted magazines and guides to read. We took full advantage of those. Meals were very good.
It was a busier camp than Selenkay with more guests coming and going, so the staff was busy. We didn't feel as connected to them as we did to the Selenkay staff. We did enjoy our time with them, but just felt like we didn't get to know them as well. However, the service, game drives, etc were all excellent.
One thing missing from Ol Kinyei - there was no village visit and no beading or anything available to buy from nearby villages. This was not a problem - just something to be aware of when planning what to buy where." See all these reviews: 11n in Kenya
"Spoilt for life by our Ol Kinyei Safari!"
The camping experience was great fun and suited us much better than a more luxurious one would have done, to us it fitted much more comfortably with the environment and with our hosts. The tents were comfortable and the shower system worked well. The askaris did a good job of chasing the elephants away at night!!
The camp staff were amazing, and our two guides, Ben and Geoffrey were excellent at finding the animals and birds and telling us everything we could possibly want to know about them. The vehicles were the best we saw anywhere and they were very happy to put us in two rather than be crowded in 1 vehicle. Our breakfast on the way to Masai Mara felt like a real "Out of Africa" experience!" See all these reviews: 5n in Kenya
"Ol Kinyei Adventure Camp review"
I am tempted to withhold that feedback because I don't want the word to get out about how great this was, but Olivia had mentioned all this in her recommendation and was very much proven right.
The best part was having a private reserve to see wildlife without so many other cars." See all these reviews: 3n in Kenya
"Ol Kinyei Adventure Camp review"
The camp was very nice, tucked away by the bend of a stream, a few tents scattered around with minimal impact on the surrounding environment. The camp manager gave us a tour and a talk and was very helpful with everything. Our guides were great, knowledgeable, just very nice people all round. The food was great too and again they catered to the 2 of us that were 'grass-eaters'.
The drives were always different and fascinating; the night drive was also a first for us and we saw animals we would only see at night so again something completely new. And -cherry on the cake- we had a resident female-hippo that came to graze every night by our tent - but very discreet! Top marks all round." See all these reviews: 17n in Kenya
"Fantastic wildlife experiences at Ol Kinyei"
The camp was beautifully situated and comfortable, the staff friendly and service great.
Would be good if there was some way the tent area could be configured to give a bit more privacy to the individual tents." See all these reviews: 7n in Kenya
