Ku Chawe Inn review
Very friendly and helpful staff; a really good place to start the holiday.

Room comfortable but not luxurious.
Fire in room much appreciated at this time of year.
Dinner menu somewhat limited.
Price of trips around plateaux exorbitant.(120 USD) for 2 hour trip.
Expert Africa organised a car and driver for the day from Ku Chawe for these travellers, and they commented:
"Visit to our adopted family in Malawi all OK.
Driver was very helpful in finding our Friends and adopted family.
We were able to spend time in Zomba and at Malosa.
We met many of our friends from previous visits in the last 12 years."
Ku Chawe Inn review
From there we saw the beautiful gardens that the hotel had to offer, along with the magnificent views over the plateau.
We had several walks into the countryside and witnessed the wonderful baboons, birds and butterflies, guided by one of the local chaps, thoroughly in awe of all that Ku Chawe and the area had to offer.
Zomba and Ku Chawe Inn
The Inn has been taken over and is now run by a government organisation.
The location is beautiful with commanding views but isolated from the town. The accomodation was good but lacked facilities such as loungers, chairs on our balcony and no pool which would have been an advantage. The food was reasonable but the service was glacially slow. We waited 1 hour+ for our meals with the exception of the very good breakfast buffet.
Would not recommend this Inn and they really need to improve the service standards.
