A convenient place for an overnight stop. The room was comfortable and the food good.
Most members of staff were friendly and welcoming and the owner/manager was involved and keen to have comments from us.
Comfortaable
Even though the glass door in the resaurant fell out when my wife walked into it!

This was a nice place to stay although the food was fairly average.

Friendly helpful staff. Rooms and hotel a bit tired. Pleasant outside area to sit.
Good for a one night stopover.
Central Lodge review
Young but inexperienced restaurant and bar staff, but they tried very hard to help. That said the rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a nice few hours after our arrival sitting in the garden area which was quiet and peaceful.
The manager was very helpful when we had to get a small repair done to our vehicle and directed us to a garage / workshop in town that could help us. He even phoned ahead to let them know we were coming, which was nice.
Stopover at Central Lodge
This was designed as a stop to break up a very long drive and it served its purpose. The rooms are tired and the A/C didn't work.
The pool area appeared very inviting for families.
Central Lodge review
We chose Central Lodge as a place to stay overnight to break the journey from Windhoek to Fish River Canyon. It served this purpose well and is also conveniently located for visiting the local attractions: Giant's Playground and Quiver Tree Forest. We were also able to join the cheetah feeding at 5pm at Gariganus Farm, where you buy your tickets for the Quiver Tree Forest.
We had dinner at Central Lodge in the evening and the meal was fine. Breakfast was another matter. We arrived at about 8am to find that other hotel guests had eaten all bread on the buffet and it was virtually impossible to get anything to eat! My repeated requests for toast were fruitless, whilst I saw toast being taken to several other tables!
This would be an excellent place to stay towards the end of a journey, as by the time we left I was wishing that I was back at home!

Good location, in the middel of town, but not much is going in there.
