Elegant Guesthouse: Our full report

Situated in the residential area of Klein Windhoek, The Elegant Guesthouse is the sister property to, and located two doors down from, The Elegant B&B, and is an ideal base for an overnight stay in Windhoek. It's a friendly, owner-run accommodation, and just a short drive away from Windhoek's central business district.

The Elegant Guesthouse has six luxurious double bedrooms, and a boardroom with conference facilities. The bedrooms are decorated with neutral colours and fabrics. Each room has en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, a TV, a safe, a direct dial phone and free wireless internet access, as well as a safe for valuables. Extra blankets and towels are provided.

Honeymooners should request room three, as this one is closest to the swimming pool and has a flat screen TV.

The lodge's main facilitiesinclude a lounge with a small library, TV, DVD player and VCR, as well as a garden with a secluded swimming pool and seating. Besides, there's a secure parking area for self-drivers. Tea and coffee is always available, and there's an honesty bar.

For those torn between The Elegant Guesthouse and The Elegant B&B, note that the rooms at both are very similar, with the only obvious differences being the larger lounge and breakfast room at the Guesthouse and the larger garden at the B & B.
