Good sleep after overnight flight from London
We were glad that Maruska had the foresight to book us into the Safari Club upon arrival in JoBurg
after our all-night flight from London. We were not met at the airport as expected, but instead paid
about $15US for a taxi to Safari Club. After a short delay, we were led to our large ensuite family room with four
single beds, tub and shower. Since we hadn't slept on the flight, we all fell asleep for most of the day.
Dinner was served in the lobby table area. A plentiful breakfast was served in a separate room. The van
took us back to the airport for our flight to Maun.
review
As per my intial comment - a great location and having the option to order dinner was also convenient. The only thing is a child's menu or child size serve would've been a nice option.
Great introduction to Africa
The Safari Club was a great choice as it was close to the airport and was a hassle free transfer. As our flight had been delayed by 4 hours we missed any opportunity to order dinner so it would've been nice if they had been able to offer us something other than a yoghurt and apple. (not a major issue though).
Our room was great - the 'thatched roof' gave us a taste of what was to come, the room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and everything was in working order.
We would definately recommend this as a stop over point
