Wild Cat Safari: In full
This safari spends 5 nights at Vundu Camp next to the Zambezi in Mana Pools National Park, followed by 4 nights at Rhino Safari Camp on an occasional island in Matusadona National Park. Vundu prides itself on its guiding, both resident and freelance guides are used and all are of an extremely high quality. Rhino Safari Camp offers simple but comfortable accommodation and all of the activities you'd expect in such a diverse area.
Drives, walks, boat trips and fishing can all be indulged at this classic safari camp. The safari begins in Lusaka from where you'll transfer to the border and across into Zimbabwe. It then ends with a flight out of Victoria Falls back to London via Jo'burg. The Wild Cat is a great safari for gaining a feel of the different environs along the Zambezi; the pristine wilderness of Mana Pools is contrasted by the man-made Lake Kariba and the huge impact that the dam built in the 1950's has had.
Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight flight with British Airways will take you to Lusaka.Days 2-6
5 nights at Vundu Camp (full board & activities) | Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe

You'll be met by another driver/guide on the Zimbabwean side of the border to begin the drive to camp for your 5 night stay at Vundu Camp – this is a much longer drive of about 4 hours to camp through some stunning wildlife areas with an ever present chance of seeing something of interest.Days 7-10
4 nights at Rhino Safari Camp (full board & activities) | Matusadona National Park, Zimbabwe
After your time at Vundu transfer by light aircraft to Matusadona and Rhino Camp (a journey of approximately 2 hours). Here you will spend your final 4 nights on Rhino Island, at times completely cut off from the mainland and at others reached by a 'bridge' of land. There's no electricity (although you can charge devices via solar charged batteries) and the lodge feels very remote. It's a great place to base yourself for the variety of activities on offer - spend the morning on a game drive and the afternoon on the lake trying a spot of fishing or just looking for game. Guided walks are also available too.Day 11
Leaving Rhino Island it's a boat transfer to the airstrip and then another light aircraft to Victoria Falls ready for your connection on to Jo'burg and then an overnight flight back to London Heathrow.Day 12
You'll arrive back to London Heathrow, early in the morning.See Prices & details for the precise dates/prices for this trip - and all the fine print.
