This varied Botswana safari concentrates on three different areas – the Chobe Forest Reserve, the Savuti Marsh and a private reserve in the Okavango Delta, one of which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The itinerary includes a total of 9 nights in three safari camps: Muchenje Safari Lodge, Savute Safari Lodge Lodge and Pom Pom Camp.

Day 1

A scheduled overnight flight takes you from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4

3 nights at Muchenje Safari Lodge (full board & activities) | Chobe National Park, Botswana

Connecting through Jo’burg onto a scheduled Air Botswana or SA Airlink flight; you land at Kasane for the 45-minute drive to Muchenje Safari Lodge. High on the river bank, overlooking the Chobe River and its floodplain, Muchenje is your comfortable base for the next 3 nights. We often suggest Muchenje as this quiet, western side of the Chobe Riverfront area has very few lodges, resulting in far fewer game-viewing vehicles than in the busier eastern side of the Chobe Riverfront, just an hour’s drive closer to Kasane.

Days 5-7

3 nights at Muchenje Safari Lodge (full board & activities) | Chobe National Park, Botswana

It’s usually late-morning, after an activity, when you’re driven back to Kasane for a flight across Chobe National Park to the Savute Marsh. Here Savute Safari Lodge stands alongside the famous Savute Channel, the waters passing by on their way to fill the marsh. Having spent the better part of two decades completely dry this is now flowing again and the game which the waters attract are vast in quantity and diversity. As the Savute Marsh is inside the Chobe National Park, during your 3-night stay here your activities focus on day 4WD game drives – walking and night-drives are not permitted.

Days 8-10

3 nights at Mapula Lodge (full board & activities) | Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

From Savute, there’s a scenic 45-minute light aircraft flight across the Okavango Delta to the private concession where Pom Pom Camp stands. Overlooking a pretty lagoon, your 3-night stay here includes activities focusing on day and night 4WD game drives. Water levels permitting, you can also choose between mokoro and boat trips, and even fishing – all adding a variety of experiences to your safari.

Day 11

A light aircraft flies you 30 minutes back from Pom Pom to Maun, where you'll connect smoothly with your Air Botswana or SA Airlink flight to Johannesburg. There you’ll connect with your scheduled overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 12

Arriving back in London Heathrow, in the early morning, you've the whole day to complete your onward journey – and much longer to remember your amazing holiday to Botswana.
