Beautiful location
The Chateau de Feuilles has an excellent location although lacking a little in atmosphere. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable, the Nespresso coffee machine in the room was a real bonus. The staff were all very pleasant.
Our one gripe (and at the time real disappointment) is that the taxi, organised by the hotel, was not there to pick us up from the airport. We had to wait 20 minutes. After 24 hours travelling this was not appreciated. The taxi driver did apologise saying that the previous flight had been late so consequently he was running late. The hotel staff did not mention the taxi until we did and said, as we knew, he was running late because of previous flights. Surely if they knew the situation they could have organised another taxi to be there on time. We were actually 15 minutes late so had we arrived on time then there would have been more than half an hour to wait.
We had a lovely view from our room (10) If we went back to the hotel we would want to be in this room again. Some of the rooms do not have such great views as their view is blocked by other bungalows.
We have always believed that acting responsibly is the only way to approach tourism and we're one of
the few companies to hold AITO's original coveted 5-star status for responsible tourism. It's a lead
that others are now following.
