"Our guide Tito was exceptional. He made our trip magical. He was informative and flexible. He knew many of the local guides and got us on the best treks!
He changed the canoeing day and took us to the Fosse research center. One afternoon when we had extra time he took us to a cultural village.
This trip was delayed 2 years due to Covid and Jessica was helpful in rescheduling and adapting to our needed changes. It is difficult for us US folks to contact our team member due to the time difference."

"The staff was exceptional.
The rooms are rather run down. It was very cold and the rooms did not have heat. The showers are dated and toiletries limited. I am vegetarian and was told by Jessica this would be accommodated. The buffet had limited options which where the same throughout my stay. If the weather was warmer I do believe the experience my have been different."

We did pass on the details in advance to Mountain Gorilla Lodge, that one of the travellers was octo-vegetarian. The lodge is normally very good at taking this kind of thing into consideration. I’m sorry to hear on this occasion that the selection was poor and the buffet meals didn't seem to have had enough vegetarian options to satisfy this traveller.

I highly recommend a visit to the Genocide museum. This was so well done and educational.

This is a short hike through the farmland and is well worth the trip. The trek was timed. So that many monkeys were in the potato fields gathering food. There was approximately 30 all sizes running around us. Very cool.

Absolutely amazing! I had no idea we would get so close to the family. No zoom lens required. iPhone took my best photos. The guide's and porters are excellent.

The guides provide a lot of information during the trek. I was fortunate enough to do 2 treks (most only do one). Two different families, two different types of treks and two different activity levels.

We opted out of the canoeing and substituted a walk in a local Eco park. It was cold for canoeing, it appeared the viewing would be limited to some birding. It just did not sound like what I had envisioned. The eco park was a better choice and again very educational
Breakfast buffet was good. Menu was limited.
