"The trip went beyond our expectations for adventure, learning, excitement and fun. I believe Expert Africa made the trip a big success because they are a full service safari planning company. The website and staff provided all that was needed for making decisions and getting the right arrangement. We spent three weeks on the trip that involved 11 accommodations, three airline flights, driving 2800 km on the left side of the road and numerous guides, staff and assistants. "The trip as a whole was really good.

Didn't see as much wildlife as we would have liked but we have been so often that we know that wildlife can be unpredictable. All lodges were friendly with, in the main, excellent food.

"We really enjoyed this holiday and had may memorable days. Staff at the lodges were all so friendly and helpful. The guides were all very knowledgeable. The self driving although long and dusty always felt safe and easy to navigate.Taking a Cool Bag from home was essential and careful planning of fuel and lunch stops was needed as facilities were few and far between." "Great trip with a great variety of lodges. Twenty one stops in total .

Very enjoyable and effortless driving between lodges. We covered 5,000 km in the rainy season with no problems. The twin cab Ford Ranger was perfect.

"Thanks to Maruska who organised a great trip for us at very short notice. We had previously visitied Namibia 9 years earlier so chose to visits areas we hadn't been to before, going down to the Fish River Canyon and up to Bushmanland.

The whole range and variety of scenery across the country continues to be massively impressive, with many places to relax in remote areas looking across vast expanses of land.

Self driving is very easy (provided you don't forget your driving licence as I did, needing to courier it out!). We took a 4x4 this time which realistically we only needed (but then certainly did) in 3 or 4 locations.

Tourism has clearly grown a lot in the last few years - we saw many more tourists driving on the roads compared to 9 years ago. The country still feels very safe (albeit there are now warnings in some major towns with regard to petty theft).

The Namibian people continue to be warm and friendly but we did notice a significant reduction in the interest of guides to ensure we had a great experience - many seemed to have lost some interest in the job. This may have been because we were in less visited areas or a dfference between the South and North of the country.

Still a fabulous country to visit.

"Overall this was a great trip, I was trying to be honest about some of the drawbacks. When we arrived at River Crossing I asked for a room with one large bed and they were able put us in another room.

I'm not sure if the other lodges had rooms other than two single beds pushed together, but for a married couple if that was something you could have requested it would have been appreciated.

"Our trip was wonderful, we probably would have liked to have stayed one night less at Nhoma (some of my family would not have agreed with this) and have missed out Huab Lodge. Highlights were Desert Rhino Camp and Mundulea.

Wouldn't have liked to do more driving though, so we missed out most of the country which we will have to visit again. Would have been useful to know rough driving times between camps. I didn't realise the gravel roads were yellow on map until it was too late!

I think would also have preferred to miss out Windhoek completely, Olive Grove was nice but it felt to me as if the holiday hadn't really started until we moved on.

Sabina was so helpful, we went through a few itineraries before I realised what sort of trip we were looking for and she made some great suggestions that I hadn't seen on the website. "We have had the good fortune of having a lifetime of travel adventures to over 100 countries spread over every continent. Among those many trips our experience in Namibia with Expert Africa stands out as one of the very best.

Of course a lot of that is because the country of Namibia has so much to offer. It is probably the safest and easiest country on the continent for independent travel. It also helps that it has a lot of very dramatic scenery and fascinating people and wildlife. But Expert Africa also played a large role in making this trip memorable. They know Namibia very well and booked us into the best lodges in the best regions of the country.

Because of Expert Africa everything went very smoothly on our trip. I recommend them without any reservation.

"We had a great time, saw lots of interesting thing. It ws all in order form your ned and we di not have any problems

However, iIf we were advising the same trip I would not go into Botswana at the pan handle as It is quite a lot of trouble to go there
