Erongo Wilderness Lodge review

The best was the last! Outstanding amazing location, incredible food in such a remote place, nothing too much bother.

A credit to Namibia!

Luxury Tents with Views !

Really worth visiting and we had one of the best tents for views. Good food and a very enjoyable stay, although short.

You really feel close to nature but in a 2WD drive car you have to leave this in the car park away from the lodge and there is no means of contacting them to collect you and your luggage !

Wish we had a longer stay

We only had one night here, and wished we could have squeezed in two nights. We did really manage to take advantage of the 'inclusive' walking and completed two short walks.

The room was great, particularly the shower and the outdoor terrace.

The restaurant/bar area (outdoors) was stunning and a great new addition to the lodge.

Staff were good, and food was excellent. It was lovely to be able to have game cooked as requested (medium rare!).

Erongo Wilderness Lodge

We had a very enjoyable early morning sunrise walk which was very informative and well worth doing.

Erongo was a great place to stay to break up the journey from Etosha to Windhoek, completely different landscape seeing a wonderful contrast to the Namib Desert, Skeleton Coast and Etosha.

A lovely place to relax before coming home

Spectacular rooms, fantastic location, great walks up and over the granite boulders, absolutely delightful staff.

Great bird life and hundreds of adorable love birds around the restaurant at dawn. We even saw a caracol which has taken to visiting the waterhole every night.

So glad we stayed here for 2 nights - it was a perfect end to our holiday.

Erongo Wilderness Lodge review

If you like walking then this is a good place for a couple of nights. 2WD cars are parked at a distance from the site needing a 4WD pickup - can give a feeling of remoteness.

Celebrated birthday there, but outside veranda was already filled very early for dinner. Needed to ask for a table to be 'specially' placed outside otherwise we would have had to eat alone inside :-( but we got a birthday cake :-)

Very hot place with no escape from the heat.
Great trip to the cave paintings.

Erongo Wilderness Lodge review

A lovely and very different experience. The only drawback was that most of the walks were cancelled due to heavy rain.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely location. All the staff were extremely helpful.

Lovely sundowner and early morning walks with the guides were great fun, and we learnt a lot.
