Ruaha National Park

Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest national park.

It offers guided walking safaris...

...where you might spot some of the park’s fantastic birdlife...

...as well as a good amount of wildlife.

Ruaha is known for its dramatic scenery, including rolling hills...

...and open plains with skeletal baobab trees.

Ruaha’s wild and untrammelled feel sets it apart from other reserves.

"Retirement Holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 18 Oct 2008 and 31 Oct 2008
"A holiday full of experiences - some good, some bad - but all memorable. The bad ones will become great 'dining out' stories." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"Tanzania (this year)"

I visited Tanzania between 9 Oct 2008 and 19 Oct 2008
"A very enjoyable trip. Selous Impala camp and Magwusi make a very good 'pair'. Four nights was a good time to stay.

Suggestions for improvement:

We, again, enjoed our safari. Everything was as it should be. Unfortunately the prices keep rising." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari

"Generally we enjoyed our trip to Tanzania but missed the early starts that we had enjoyed in Zambia.

The guiding was variable in quality with Beho Beho being excellent and Lake Manze pretty dire. Ras Kutani was pretty and very relaxing and Mwagusi pretty good." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Tanzania safari

"Happy campers!"

I visited Tanzania between 2 Oct 2008 and 16 Oct 2008
"Worth every penny! All expectations met (maybe a little more than we bargained for with the the tsetse flies!) Having travelled to Africa with a small number fo travel companies over the past 20 years, Expert Africa come top of the list, and we will certainly look to you to again for future trips.

Your help in easing the blow of the lost wallet is very much appreciated as this could easily have dampened what has has been a truly excellent trip, many thanks.

As an aside it may be worth noting that if people's expectations are for smooth roads and Michelin star catering then perhaps the middle of Africa is not for them! Considering the locations and the tools available overall the camps manage extremely well.

"A fabulous safari"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 22 Sep 2008 and 7 Oct 2008
"The safari part of our trip was excellent. Pole Pole was a little disappointing - quality and too long at the resort. Expert Africa should not use Beyt al Chai until it is refurbished.

We are very impressed with Exprt Africa itself. All staff very helpful and concerned that we have an enjoyable holiday (which we did).

Information provided pre deprture very comprehensive and helpful. Terrific web-site which was one of the factors that convinced us to use EA. We really felt they knew what they were talking about." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"East Africa - what a great place for safari"

I visited Zanzibar and 1 other country between 20 Sep 2008 and 7 Oct 2008
"Our trip was incredible; a trip of a lifetime which was exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon.

The trip was really well balanced between safari (6 days/2 camps) and beach (8 days) - altough we could very easily have done another 2 or 3 days safari at the end, having had a short break from it to recuperate!

Suggestions for improvement:

The advice we were given was excellent and the trip was great!" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 10 on a Zanzibar holiday

"Unforgettable!!"

I visited Tanzania between 18 Sep 2008 and 28 Sep 2008
"We had the most amazing trip.

Expert Africa lives up to it's name. Expert in the help and advice we were given when planning this trip. Expert in booking and making all the necessary arrangements, which went very smoothly, and expert in picking out superb camps for us to stay at. We are not quite sure how we got an upgrade at Sand Rivers, but thank you anyway, it was wonderful.

We had the pleasure of meeting and spending some of our game drives at Mwagusi with Marushka and Peter, who were on a fact finding trip for Expert Africa. We hope that we were able to give them some of our impressions of Mwagusi at the time." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 6 Sep 2008 and 21 Sep 2008
"A fantasitc trip. I really can't fault it.

Beautiful and contrasting places to stay with universally friendly staff and amazing wildlife encounters that I'm sure we will still be talking about in many years to come!

Extremely efficient organisation meant all we had to do was enjoy! Thinking of our next trip already!

Thank you.
