Convenient for overnight stay
Convenient hotel for overnight stop prior to early transfer to Wilson Airport.
Check in was quick and trouble free.
Rooms were of a good size, coffee and tea making facilities. staff very friendly and a lovely breakfast overlooking Nairobi national park.
Ole-Sereni - a great place to start the trip
We only stayed at Ole-Sereni for one night - just to break the journey, we didn't have time to sample any food, it was literally a place to sleep.
It was a very comfortable hotel and we'd certainly use it again.
A short night in Nairobi
This was a very conveniently located hotel for a brief overnight stay between arriving late evening at Nairobi airport, and our departure early the following morning.
The staff were very obliging in arranging for the breakfast buffet to open at 05:30 for us, 30 minutes earlier than normal.
We only went there to sleep for a few hours
Very close to the airport, even with the appalling traffic in Nairobi we had only 15 mins to travel. reassuringly secure and adequate facilities for our limited needs.Read more about the whole trip

On both occasions reception staff were very rude and totally disinterested and seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than to guests. On the second occasion they claimed not to have a booking for us. It took half an hour before they allowed us to stay. This was despite showing Expert Africa voucher. The company that met us in Nairobi said they had numerous problems with Ole Sereni.Read more about the whole trip

Good hotel, ideally positioned for airports
We only stayed one night in the Ole-Sereni due to the flights times from Wilson Airport to the games lodges. The travel arrangements from Nairobi International Airport to the hotel worked well although even late at night the traffic in Nairobi is terrible.
The rooms were reasonably well apppointed, comfortable beds and good shower facilities. Our room backed out onto the new flyover currently being built in Nairobi but the noise from the work didn't interrupt our sleep. Hotel has free wi-fi although it took a couple of trips to the reception before we could get access codes that worked.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special, pretty much what you would get in any large commerical hotel around the world.
Travel to Wilson Airport the following morning was an interesting experience, the rush hour in Nairobi lasts about 3 hours apparently so leave plenty of time and the driving has to be seen to be believed. Our driver took us on back roads to avoid the worst congestion through the city centre otherwise we would probably have missed out flight.
All in all a good hotel for an overnight stay in Nairobi.
The hotel restaurant service was very slow; a lot of staff, but had to ask three different people for a coffee.
What I like about the hotel was the fact you could game view on site.
Probably a very nice hotel but we arrived about 11 so were tired and ready for bed/too late to eat other than birthday cake they had supplied. There was a problem with the electronic door 'keys' which delayed our going to sleep.
Because we had to be picked up at 6 the hotel agreed to provide breakfast boxes - however it was evident from the tables that some people had eaten before the stated 6 a.m. Breakfast time.
