"Brilliant stay at Erongo"
Good evening drive to Paula's cave to see rock paintings and have sundowners. Sundowner walk available. Excellent dinner on return. Morning walk included, excellent guide and good breakfast on return.
No great rush for one to leave rooms and the whole experience was one to be repeated if we get the chance and staying longer." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

We did not take advantage of the free guided walks here but went on a nature/scenic drive (game is fairly sparse here but they don't pretend otherwise and the scenery makes up for it).
This and Mushara were both close seconds to Hoodia and we'd certainly stay here again." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Return to Erongo"
Enjoyed walk with knowledgeable guide to view sunset and saw baboon troop, cliffspringer and the ubiquitous hyrax. Given bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a delicious dinner outside near the lit boma. Good attention to detail - partially unlit walkway due to temporary shortage of bulbs was rectified by staff for return trip after dinner. All staff cheerful and helpful." "The Beauty of Erongo"
It was a comfortable drive from the airport and the welcome was both warm and informative. The lodge manager was away but the relief managers Kubus and his wife Martha were excellent and could not do enough to make us comfortable, especially in helping me get medical help when I needed it.
Some of the tents, including the one allocated to us have been upgraded and there were some problems such as the door blowing open in high wind due to a poor fit. The problems will be sorted out very soon. The location is stunning and the guides Johnny and Culis did an excllent job in helping us get the most from our stay. Food was of a high standard and eating out under the stars a delight. Timo and Baliria in the resturant were attentive and friendly.
The nature drive is just that, but this understates the beauty of the area and the photographic opportunities it presents. We could easily have spent more time here and would return without hesitation.
All tents have good views but No 10 is the one to go for!" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

They have upgraded the rooms so they are really spacious but I think it loses a little of the romance that the old style rooms had." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
"Very chilly Erongo!"
The staff were welcoming, although it would have been helpful to have been told the cost of the evening drive when we hurriedly agreed to go on it. The drive, with a walk to see 'Paula's Cave (?)' was excellent, the guide Coolas informative and entertaining. It was a freezing cold night, so a log fire at dinner in the main lodge was most welcome.
The tents were very cold though, in spite of the hot water bottles supplied. We slept in our clothes and used all the extra blankets etc! I wish we'd heeded the advice to take gloves....After a chilly start the next morning, we had a great walk with the guide Johnny. Again, interesting and fun. We left by 10am but it was a very memorable stay." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia
"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"
Again, this place was excellent for a one-day + one-night stop on our way between Etosha and Swakopmund. The setting is very beautifull with the tents set up amongst the huge boulders. Food was good and the morning walk is just great (thanks in great measure to the guide). There is no big game to see here (we saw mainly dik-diks and other small antelopes), but there's some interesting cave paintings and the possibility to stretch your legs and walk around for a couple of hours, all while listening to very fun guides who are very knowledgeable about the geology, flora, and fauna of the area, makes this place worth your while.
It was just right for one night to make the transition from fully-fledged safari mode in Etosha to Swakopmund. And I guess it'd be just as good when travelling in the other direction. Talk to the camp manager about the night sky and, if lucky, prepare yourself for a great description of the stars and constellations above you, together with full mythological references and the aid of a very powerfull laser pointer! Talk to everyone; they have plenty of great stories to share, and this made us enjoy our stay here even more so." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia

The location is superb, the tents/huts are wonderful, food is great, staff is personal and so friendly and the walks very magnificent. One night is not enough for Erongo Wilderness Lodge (luckily we had booked two nights)." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia; 3n in Zimbabwe

The lighting on the paths to the tents could have been a bit better as some of the steps are quite uneven" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
