"Mushara Bush Camp review"

1 night Arrived 17 May 2015
"Very comfortable and more personalised service after five nights in the government run camps. Extremely comfortable and well equipped tent with private sitting areas inside and out looking into the bush.

We enjoyed a lovely meal - the beetroot and apple soup was unforgettable. We were very well looked after by a very friendly team." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"A pleasant place outside Etosha Park but close enough to the entry gate.

We enjoyed the birds and warthogs in the yard and the food was quite good. It wasn't the loveliest setting but we spent all of our time in the park so it didn't matter." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"Comfortable retreat on the edge of Etosha"

2 nights Arrived 14 Apr 2015
"Comfortable, bright, very well appointed camp. Food was great, in particular the "boma" barbeque. Well situated for the eastern end of Etosha.

Swimming pool was welcome in the heat, but needed cleaning." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"The food was excellent (thank you for that).

We really liked that they had not only a children`s playground but also different games for the children (and their parents), puzzles, etc. in the lobby area. It was the only Camp / Lodge where we found such a playing `area`. It was a good idea." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Mushara Bush Camp review"

2 nights Arrived 28 Feb 2015
"Lovely grounds and settings for the tents.
Very clean and convenient for Etosha Stayed two nights..
Staff very friendly and professional.
No choice for evening meal although for us it was fine. Swimming pool very nice. Grounds well kept. Attention to detail ecxelllent. Only down side there was no air con but there was a fan. The tent was very hot and the lack of air con means that we would not stay again in hot weather.
In cooler weather I don't suppose it would matter." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Mushara Bush Camp review"

3 nights Arrived 18 Dec 2014
"Our second visit to this camp for a three day stay, we like the scattered tents with their own space surrounding them.and you get the occasional Dik-Dik passing by.

The closeness of the Von Lindquist gate (8km) means quick entry into Etosha We visited TSUMCORE waterhole many times during our stay, it produced the best sightings of elephants seen this year (40+).Animals in general were scarcer than usual due to some early rains.

The staff here were very helpful and attentive, food excellent too. although vegetarian options were limited.

Good pool.

Good stay!" See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Lovely Mushara Bush Camp."

2 nights Arrived 14 Nov 2014
"Lovely camp and very child friendly. Staff very helpful and lovely comfortable tents with fans. Food was pretty good too. We had an enjoyable meal that was set up outside one evening. The grounds and swimming pool are great. An ideal spot from which to explore Etosha.

Our guide was good company but not particularly knowledgeable. He was experienced and knew where to look for game but not so good on plants and birds. We did a walk and a drive into Etosha with him.

We enjoyed our stay here and were sorry to leave." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Particulatly well set-up for families"

2 nights Arrived 13 Nov 2014
"Of all the places we stayed, this was probably our least favourite. This is more a positive reflection on the other lodges rather than a negative assessment of Mushara. The two main things we missed were (1) a view, as we had been hugely spoilt in all of the other places we stayed and (2) qthe level of warmth and service we experienced in other lodges - particularly on check-in. The staff were not unfriendly, but were a little stand-offish and less effusive than elsewhere.

The lodge and the tented rooms are all very stylishly decorated and thoughtfully equipped. However the tent got very hot during our stay (November) which did not make for a comfortable night's sleep, even with the fan that was provided. I would imagine the rooms would have been a lot more comfortable between May - September.

We found the guided game drive into Etosha a bit disappointing compared to other game drives elsewhere as the guide did not seem very engaged or interested in telling us about the wildlife and seemed to prefer chatting with his friends on the radio. Also, due to the distance of the lodge from Namutoni, we lost some time getting to/from the park." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
