Mushara Lodge

Excellant rooms and easy to access Etosha from here.

The service was chaotic with no-one apparently in overall charge especially at mealtimes.eg having been asked when we wanted breakfast when we arrived there was no table for us, not being asked preferance for food at breakfast and the buffet arrangement such that you had difficulty getting to the food. Also the bar bills etc had to be signed for at the end of evening meal, which meant you had to wait for them to be produced rather than leaving when we were ready. This seemed to be for the convenience of the staff not the guests.

Mushara is stunning but 'cold' in feel

The lodge is beautifully designed and the rooms are amazing. There is an incredible amount of detail gone in to the look of everything. Having said that, it is lacking in character. The staff all seem to walk around on tiptoe and whisper to each other. It has a melancholy feel to it.

One of the Best

Conveniently situated for the Namutoni Gate on the eastern side of Etosha National Park, we stayed at Mushara Lodge for three nights. This is a professional operation with high standards.

Our room was large, very attractive, stylish and well equipped with lovely comfortable beds. Free wi-fi in the public areas. The tariff works on a half-board basis as most people staying there are self-driving and spend the day in the National Park. However they also offer guided safaris into the park at extra cost if you don't want to drive yourself. There is a good pool and very nice public areas. Accommodation units are detached and well spaced for privacy.

Food was good. We stayed in 13 different lodges during our month-long trip and this was one of the very best. Highly recommended.

Great BBQ at Mushara Lodge

Disabled persons review: This lodge was easily accessible. There was the odd step between areas but the paths were wide and even.

Lovely evening under the stars with mountains of good food at the BBQ.
Friendly, helpful service and very relaxing.

Some insect spray in the room would be useful.

Lovely lodge east of Etosha

Well presented accommodation though I have to admit I prefer to have the bathroom more screened from the bedroom area.
Nice toiletries, room well stocked with coffee-making facilities etc.

Mushara Lodge review

Another beautifully designed and tastefully decorated lodge.

There is not as much personal feel as Barchan, Sam's Giardino or Nhoma lodges, but the services were good and the food was delicious.

Mushara Lodge review

Whilst Mushara Lodge was comfortable it did not enjoy the vistas we had elsewhere.

Food was very interesting and they did offer alternatives. We enjoyed the company of warthogs at breakfast.

It was well placed for entry into Etosha.

A lovely lodge conveniently placed for Etosha

We were the only guests at the Lodge on the night we stayed. The staff were extremely nice and provided us with a delicious dinner, served outside on the terrace. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. This Lodge is very well situated for getting to Etosha.

Mushara Lodge review

Very luxurious place. We had one daughter so we stayed at the family suite with 2 big bedrooms and big living room with a play structure in the private yard. We were there at the beginning of June so it was too quiet with only one other couple over 2 nights. The staff was nice but we did not feel as warm as tje staff at Anderson Camp. It might be too formal.

After visiting Etosha park from Anderson Camp, we saw some different animals and the east side of the park was more quiet. We saw lions mating and spotted the Rhino.
