Mushara Lodge review
Whilst Mushara Lodge was comfortable it did not enjoy the vistas we had elsewhere.
Food was very interesting and they did offer alternatives. We enjoyed the company of warthogs at breakfast.
It was well placed for entry into Etosha.
A lovely lodge conveniently placed for Etosha
We were the only guests at the Lodge on the night we stayed. The staff were extremely nice and provided us with a delicious dinner, served outside on the terrace. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. This Lodge is very well situated for getting to Etosha.

Very luxurious place. We had one daughter so we stayed at the family suite with 2 big bedrooms and big living room with a play structure in the private yard. We were there at the beginning of June so it was too quiet with only one other couple over 2 nights. The staff was nice but we did not feel as warm as tje staff at Anderson Camp. It might be too formal.
After visiting Etosha park from Anderson Camp, we saw some different animals and the east side of the park was more quiet. We saw lions mating and spotted the Rhino.
Mushara Lodge review
A charming oasis of tranquility, well positioned just outside the park. Warthog and scrub hare wondered around the garden.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and even helped to mend our vehicle for us! Lovely thatched chalets, beautifully furnished.
Atmospheric outdoor dining under the stars in the brain.
Mushara Lodge review
What a lovely place. Unfortunately only 4 of us the first night and just the 2 of us on the second. We enjoyed talking to the staff tho' who looked after us very well. Our room was absolutely lovely as was the food. This is a lovely spacious lodge with very comfortable furniture throughout. Beautifully decorated.

Mushara had to be the most luxurious of all our stays. As there were 4 of us (including 2 teenagers), we were in a purpose-built unit at the entrance - extremely roomy with 2 large bedrooms & showers, bath and own garden and verandah, and - luxury - a large television and DVD player (with soem DVD's), together with tea and coffee making facilities and large mini-bar.
The welcoming staff were just that - relaxed and friendly, and as at Damaraland, not averse to bursting into song upon occasion (there was a birthday that evening).
First impressions were of an ex-colonial style hotel - possibly because of the zebra skin in reception, and the light airy lobby area.
Look out for small deer and Kudu in the grounds along the driveway, particularly at dusk/morning - but maybe best not to go out alone after dark as apparently predators have been known to pass through the area...
A warm welcome at Mushara Lodge
We had a warm welcome from Erica who greeted us when we arrived and served dinner in the restaurant on our first night.
We were very happy with our rooms. I have an irrational fear of spiders and I was a bit worried about staying in a lodge with a thatched roof - but I didn't see a single one!
The food was good.
We saw kudu and impala wandering around in the grounds outside our lodge, which was lovely. This was a relaxing and comfortable base from which to explore the eastern end of Etosha.
A little luxury
Very comfortable lodge, very spacious and lovely grounds for relaxing.
Meals were excellent and all staff very friendly and efficient. an easy drive into Etosha.
Mushara Lodge review
This was very personal and luxurious, and we spent some of one day just sitting on our verandah relaxing it was so quiet.
The food was very good as was the service, and the wildlife often wander into the area - warthogs join residents by the pool and a small deer was found gazing into my bathroom window one day!
We went on one of the drives with Imelda one of their guides. She found us more wildlife and taught us more about Etosha in all the time we had driven through the park.
The drives are good value - cheaper than those in Etosha and include your entrance fee.
Lovely lodge
We had a lovely stay at Mushara Lodge, relaxing by the pool in the gardens on our day of arrival and then taking 2 good game drives the next day.
On both evenings the food was excellent and the atmosphere intimate and romantic!!
