Barchan Dune Retreat review
A real gem. This is a small little known place, originally a farm, they are now farming tourists !!
The walking here is fabulous and as was the welcome. Dinner was dinner party style and great fun. Little attentions to detail were really appreciated - I made a passing comment that a beer for lunch would be lovely and at lunchtime, it duly appeared, no further prompting.
Coffee left on our individual terraces at dawn was extremely special and most so on our last monring in Namibia as we watched sunrise and realised sadly we were on our way home. The two meerkats captured our hearts too - real characters, they came on a walk with us.
We have always believed that acting responsibly is the only way to approach tourism and we're one of
the few companies to hold AITO's original coveted 5-star status for responsible tourism. It's a lead
that others are now following.
