"Annie's Cottage review"

1 night Arrived 26 Sep 2012
"The guest house was ok. The rooms are slightly quaint but reasonably comfortable. The town (Springbok) feels rather 'seedy'
Lots of liquor stores with guards and drunks hanging around trying to beg. Hence maybe the town influenced our perception of Annie's.
Breakfast was good. One great innovation is a toaster on every table - no lost toast.
There is free WiFi in the rooms.

The nearby national park (by the airport) is charming." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa

"We only really used Annies Cottage as a stop over to break a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa

"Annie's Cottage review"

3 nights Arrived 10 Sep 2010
"The best thing about this place is its charming garden. We were rather put off by a long list of House Rules posted in the bedroom!

In fact, we checked out after 2 (out of 3 booked) nights, but that was primarily because there is little to do in Springbok in the absence this year of the usual Namaqualand floral display. And the restaurant options are dire." See all these reviews: 13n in South Africa

"Annie's Cottage review"

1 night Arrived 10 Aug 2009
"This second visit was disappointing as the first room had been so spectacular. We knew that we would be given a different room and I was looking forward to it, but it was such a disappointment - the family room - 'peach' (which we didn't need) with a pokey little shower and none of the 'nice' touches of the previous room or the breakfast room which are both enhanced with lovely furnishings and careful attention to details of mirrors, lamps and knick knacks.

They were, however, very busy at the start of the flower season and hopefully many of the other rooms please as much as our first! Breakfast was as good as ever." See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 11n in South Africa

"Annie's Cottage review"

1 night Arrived 2 Aug 2009
"The room was just spectacular!

Our reception was good and our hostess showed us to our room. We were enchanted by the weaver birds who were nesting in a big tree just outside our room - there was a small veranda in the sun which was very relaxing after our journey.

The one draw back to the location is that it is right across the road from the hospital which can be a bit noisy early evening and lots of lights on through the night, though the curtains are thick and block out most of it." See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 11n in South Africa

"A home from home full of character"

1 night Arrived 28 Oct 2008
"This really is a gem with a decor that is really different. We enjoyed the luxury of the honeymoon suite, albeit many years late, in an atmosphere that was very relaxed.

They were most helpful in storing our surplus bags and attending to our laundry whilst we detoured to Augrabies Falls for a few days.

Springbok is a good place to break a journey down the Western side of Southern Africa as the town is large enough for you to replenish and dwindling stores and attend to other requirments" See all these reviews: 14n in South Africa; 12n in Namibia
