Viewing the wildlife on foot.
The entire experience as outstanding. The camps were run with an efficiency that is hard to imagine anywhere especially in the bush.
Our guide Jason was not only knowledgeable about the area he was genuinely interesting to talk with on any number of subjects. The tea bearer Jonathan was also a great addition to the experience. Clair the hostess and the entire staff of the mobile safari were great. The bread made in a pit oven was to die for.
Lots of diverse and wonderful views of a multitude of different wildlife.
Robin Pope Safaris walking safari mobile camp review
This was a great experience and the guide, Jason Alfonsi, was truly excellent. Incredibly knowledgeable about all flora and fauna but also very interesting on the wider and more philosophical aspects of reserve and park management.
The sites for camping were well chosen and the facilities adequate. The food, prepared in a "hole in the ground" camp oven was excellent throughout. The staff were all friendly and helpful and good company.
One minor criticism of the tents. Lighting them by a single candle is inadequate. Battery operated lanterns are not expensive and would have made so much difference
Outstanding experience in the wild
Great organisation, very professional but without letting it shown.
Great staff doing amazing things in the middle of nowhere !!!! ( excellent food, beautiful laundry and ever smilling face )
Guides were able to see everything and from a distance. They do know their job.
We appreciate also to be able to refresh in the river after a long morning walk.

Very interesting getting a varied and detailed picture of the whole ecosystem from Robin. A bit disappointed not to see more large wildlife. DSM had severe gastro-enteritis so missed last full day walking. Michelle and her very impressive team looked after us well for food and accommodation.
We appreciated very much the arrangements Robin made to see doctor at Flatdogs Camp. Dr. recommended the next night be spent in Nkwali which Robin organised and we were very well looked after.

Second time for us on the RPS walking safari and it remains a fabulous experience in a remote area of the Park. Tsetse flies were bad however and we got bitten a lot.

We were a little apprehensive about walking amongst the wildlife but total confidence in Jason, our guide, meant that we could enjoy it to the full & we would definitely do it again.
The camps we used (2, 3 and 4) were in wonderful locations & the camp staff produced better cakes from a hole in the ground than I can in a cooker. I'm tempted to dig a hole in the lawn!
We were somewhat spoilt in that there were only 3 of us on the trip & we "clicked" instantly & being with Jason and Jenny felt more like being on holiday with friends.
