"Camp Kipwe review"

3 nights Arrived 1 Jun 2010
"In camp Kipwe, we enjoyed very much the living museum and also the very impressive rock engravings.

When we were there the nights were cool, but I have a feeling the rooms must get very hot in summer. Wouldn't ceiling fans be more efficient than the fan standing on one side of the bed ?" See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Stunning"

2 nights Arrived 29 May 2010
"Stunning location, stunning accomadation, especially the bathroom, the sundowners were spectacular, the food was extremely good, and wonderful staff.

We were treated to a surprise candlelit dinner on our own to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it was an enchanting place. Of the staff Andreas was particulary helpful.

Can't wait to return, it really was a special place. Again unforgettable." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"The best yet..."

1 night Arrived 9 Oct 2009
"Hidden amongst the rocks of a kopje Camp Kipwe does not intrude in the landscape. It's beautiful.

Waiters bring drinks and snacks to the viewpoint at sundown - one feels very spoilt. Rooms are cool and generous. Open air loos and showers are brilliant - I want one at home.

Excellent food served by attentive staff - this is a brand new lodge which is bound to do well." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Brilliant Place, Stay More than 1 Night!"

2 nights Arrived 20 Sep 2009
"This lodge was my absolute favourite of the whole trip, we stayed here for 2 nights and it is in a great location a short drive from Twyfelfontain, the chalets are decorated to an amazing standard. More than anything else the people that work here are just fantastic.

The camp had only been open 6 weeks when we arrived and there was still a bit of building work going on but not that you would notice. The staff were still receiving training, having mostly been builders themselves prior to the opening and they were just so friendly and chatty, you would have thought they had been doing it for years. The main restaurant and seating area overlooks the plains and is really inviting and intimate. You can also take your drinks to the Kopje above the camp to watch the sunset.

Ivan the guide is such a cool guy, we went on a nature walk and learnt so much about the area he is really enthusiastic. We also went on the elephant safari to track the desert adapted elephant, it was well worth doing, we drove for 5 hours and finally got to see about 10 just wondering along with the calves, the local area is just beautiful to drive through and again Ivan made the trip really interesting and fun stopping and showing us tracks and animals along the way, it was actually like been with a friend he has such a good sense of humor.

It was our honeymoon and when we arrived one of the guys gave us a card he had made himself and after the nature walk we were suprised to find a bottle of champagne and fruit in our room, it was little touches like this that made the stay even more memorable." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia
