Mushara Bush Camp review

We only stayed one night upon exiting Etosha Park and heading out on the road the next morning.

The dining was excellent and the camp made for a very restful stopover.

Mushara Bush Camp review

Good location for visiting east end of Etosha.

Tent was fine - but a bit noisy in the heavy rain overnight - just what you might expect

Mushara Lodge

We were booked to stay at the Mushara Bush Camp but we decided after the Nhoma experience to upgrade the stay to the Lodge.

The lodge was great and we really enjoyed our stay plus the game reserve was also excellent with loads of good game sightings. We chose a self drive and this worked out really well.

An excellent stay near to Etosha

This camp follows the format of having individual tented "rooms" spread out within an attractive area of gardens. The accommodation is large and well-equipped.

The staff were very helpful and charming and the food was excellent, served in a large thatched open "Lapa". There is wifi available.

The Lodge is conveniently located to reach the Fort Namutoni Gate of the Etosha National Park after only a few minutes drive.

Mushara Bush Camp review

We had a flat tyre that we noticed in the morning, just prior to the departure. Given that we couldn't identify the puncture, and the hotel staff was just a bit too eager to help out - we got suspicious that it may actually be one of the ways the staff gets their tips.

Other than that - it's a lovely location. Beautiful rooms, lovely setting.

Staff was not even nearly as friendly as those in Adersson's Camp.

Relaxing place

We really liked this place, the tented accommodation was very spacious and attractively furnished.
The staff here were very attentive...

The large open sided boma made an ideal setting for meals, the evening usually ended with the staff singing and dancing to us. As the camp is only 8km from the Von Lindquist gate it was easy to day trip into that part of Etosha.

Beautiful accommodation

My daughter and mines favourite accommodation , beautiful and tranquil interiors although we sneakily looked at their other lodge down the road and would probably like to try there next time !

Evening meals were lovely and set in beautiful style and atmosphere , very small numbers compared to the larger places we had stayed .
Kids loved swimming here , and great access to the park . Staff very helpful and professional although perhaps a little reserved , we would have easily stayed here an extra night .

Mushara Bush Camp review

An interesting experience but not my favourite accommodation, I think I am too old to really appreciate tents and it was much more like camping than I expected. A long walk to our tent from the restaurant. This camp would probably be more appreciated by people with children.

Having said that the staff were delightful, the swimming pool lovely, and the main restaurant area and camp fire in the evening was really good. The food here was also excellent, as was the service. The wart hog lawnmowers were a huge success and loved by everyone.
