lovely peaceful place to relax after flight
We were the only people there which made it even more relaxing. Friendly hosts and nice rooms.

This was very much a quick stop - off after the long flight and we didn't spend much time here. Overall the property was pleasant and peaceful (although I was woken throughout the night by car alarms in the area - not Haus Sonneneck's fault)
The room was clean and airy, if a bit lacking in character. The staff were friendly and we had a good breakfast to send us on our way. It's a bit far from the centre, so you need to drive in or use taxis, but that's easy to organise.
A good place to start off.

Enjoyed relaxing for the afternoon by the pool. Lovely quiet location - very handy for Joe's Beerhouse

Our room was spotless and large with a private outside sitting area which we enjoyed. The garden and pool area is an attractive place to sit with trees giving welcome shade. Good choice at breakfast, including cooked options.
The Haus is in a pleasant residential area with large trees giving a green and shaded backdrop. It is not in walking distance of Windhoek but is a attractive, quiet place to stay and excellent value.

Although we had been promised a family room here, this was already taken and we were given two separate rooms. But Gisela was very apologetic and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was a good buffet and the swimming pool was enjoyed by the boys. We were kindly allowed to stay beyond the usual 10am check-out to sort out our suitcases ready for our flight home that evening.
This place had a relaxed and kindly feel and was a good place to spend our last night, although in hindsight, it would perhaps have been nice to be a bit more centrally situated in Windhoek so that we could have walked round a little more without having to take the car.

An excellent place to either start or end a holiday. The owner directed us to Joe's Bar for our evening meal which was good fun.
The long tables which you share with other English speaking people was a great idea (providing you are of a sociable nature) and later you could sit close to the huge fire in the middle of the circle of tables and reflect on your holiday experiences.
Good reception, good stay for one night.
Big rooms, average confort, good reception. Its ok for just a night and breakfest.
