My Feb 2019 trip
Tanzania between 5 Feb 2019 and 17 Feb 2019
We were very happy that these travellers had such a good safari overall. However we were extremely sorry for their disrupted last day in Nairobi as a result of Expert Africa's error. An update from Kenya Airways about their schedule was received by us but misfiled and subsequently the information was not passed on to these travellers. We work very hard to avoid any such mistakes, and fortunately they are exceptionally rare.

Ikuka Safari Camp
Whilst the rooms were well appointed the design of the bathrooms outside the enclosed tented area at night was both inconvenient and also meant that visits to the bathroom during the night and in the morning were fraught with bat droppings/insects of various sizes everywhere.
We had a first class guide in Festo who enhanced our safari drives with both his natural wit and extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Ruaha."
"Fundu Lagoon review"
The food was good but would have appreciated an option to sample the wonderful seafood in a simple form...ie grilled prawns with salad and fried or grilled fish with potatoes or fries...there is no need to stack, drizzle and add sauces when the local ingredients are fresh and of the best quality. Keep it simple."
The only thing that let the camp experience down was the food served in the evenings....the Chef tried too hard to serve fusion local/Western food and failed spectacularly...suggest he simplifies his menus to serve straighforward meat and vegetables."
