Map of Zambia's main safari areas

This map splits what we offer in Zambia into seven parts; read more about them by clicking the blue markers. Our more detailed maps of the areas show the different safari camps, lodges and hotels; to see these, follow links in the bubbles – or at the bottom of the page.

Things to see on this Zambia map

ook carefully and you can see the long, curving area (light green surrounded by dark green) of the Luangwa Valley the east of the country, which starts beside Zambia and heads sough-west towards Lusaka. Also visible is Lake Bangweulu, at the heart of the country, and Lake Kariba, which straddles Zambia's southern border with Zimbabwe.

Trace lines from the two ends of Lake Kariba to follow the course of the Zambezi – east alnong the border then curving north, through western Zambia (Barotseland); and west from Lake Kariba, again along the border, then into Mozambique where it flows into Lake Cabora Bassa and thence towards the Indian Ocean
