Comments on our trip
Tanzania between 3 Jul 2008 and 12 Jul 2008
"Overall this was one of the best vacations I have ever had.
No major complaints.
The ExpertAfrica staff was a pleasure. Ellie provided recommendations and booked a great trip.
While she was out of the office, Ann Lederman helped with some last minute details. Then, when our flights were screwed up and we arrived in Dar a day late, Ann re-worked our itinerary quickly and saved the trip!"

"The rooms were very nice and our view of the lake (and afternoon visits from an elephant) really set the scene nicely.
The food was hit-and-miss. Simple dishes were prepared well and tasted great but sometimes I wonder if the kitchen got a little too adventurous (moussaka on a particularly hot afternoon in Africa seemed an odd choice). The service was excellent.
The game viewing was great and fly-camping was one of the best experiences we had. Boat trips on the lake were a nice opportunity to see birds, crocs, and hippos up close."

"A highlight of the trip. Mark, our guide, was great. The camp site was more luxurious than we could have imagined - while still giving us a real feeling of being "out there". Seeing the game on foot gave us much more respect - elephants sure seem bigger when you aren't in a 4x4"

"The pool/beach is paradise, just an incredibly beautiful setting. The service was great. The food, delicious. The only negative, and this was hardly a negative, was that the room always felt damp and smelled a little musty."

Best food we ate on our trip - and meals that were comparable to any great restaurant in New York (the highest complement this New York foodie can give).
Beautiful accomodations. Excellent service. This place really stood out!"
