Starts: JKI Airport Nairobi
On arrival at the airport, you’ll be greeted by a driver after you’ve collected your bags.
Nairobi to the coast by air, land & sea
After a private transfer between Nairobi’s international and domestic airports, board a light aircraft for Lamu Island, roughly two hours away, passing coastal inlets on your approach. Then join the team from Peponi for the short boat ride to the lodge, sailing past Lamu town and Shela village en route.

One of the oldest lodgings on Lamu island, Peponi is a stylish, beachfront hotel in a prime spot on Shela Beach overlooking the eastern end of the Lamu Channel and the start of Lamu beach. Owned and managed by the Korschen family, it dates from the 1960s and has been successively expanded, modified and refurbished over the years.

Kenya coast to Nairobi by air, land & sea
The team at Peponi will organise the 20-minute boat ride back to the airport, in time for your afternoon light-aircraft flight of about two hours to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Here you'll be met by a private driver for the transfer to the international airport – and your onward journey.
