"From the moment we were picked up by our wonderful guide Said we knew we were in excellent hands. Kwihala was, on paper, the least 'luxurious' place we stayed at for our honeymoon, but it was our favourite.

We had an amazing guide, doing everything he could to give us great sightings and with a unbeatable level of knowledge and good humour. Tam and her team made the afternoons enjoyable and dinners were wonderful. Tam is an incredible camp manager, with the most natural and enviable guest handling skills. The staff at the camp seemed to get on very well, organically creating a lovely family feel, and this really made the atmosphere so special. The housekeeping and service here was also exceptional.

We would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it, in a heartbeat."

"We stayed here in early November for our honeymoon and it was a real treat. The bandas are truly beautiful, better than any hotel room we have ever stayed at and with the most amazing view.

Very spectacular. Beho Beho is full of treats - the food is amazing and the Swahili lunch is still our favourite meal of the whole two week trip. I won't give too many details to ruin the surprise, but the team do go out of their way to offer unique and special experiences so if you have been on safari a lot, this would be a wonderful option to experience it in a different way."

"The Palms is a very special place, it is very private, and set on a beautiful stretch of beach (however please note that at this time of year, there is a lot of seaweed- obviously not the hotel's fault!), so it is not quite as beautiful to look at as at other times of the year.

The room was very nice, and the private beach beds are a real treat. The best thing about this place was the food, which is simply amazing!. Many meals here were better than we have had at many, if not most, London restaurants. If you like your food, this is the place for you.

The staff here are lovely and friendly - Siriak (the manager) is one of the most interesting people we have met, and most impressive! He is a real asset to The Palms, as is the chef, both of which made our stay unforgettable."
