"Good trip that met our expectations. Took short recommended route to Kulala. Returning to Windhoek via D1265. Spectacular! Would recommend this only going up to pass and not coming down! Really lets you experience the Escarpment.
Kulala well situated and really gives you a "feel" for the Namib.

Young and personable. Had been at Namib 7 months. Not particularly knowledgable.
Sensed he might not be very interested in staying for a long time and that might be influencing his eagerness to learn about the area.

Once there they ended up insisting they drive us even though we had the rental car. Had we known we would have flown from Windhoek."
