Amazing visit to South Luangwa

"We had an amazing time and it was all we had hoped for, and we had high expectations :)
We could have just booked directly ourselves but I think using Expert Africa really helped us to make the most of our short time in South Luangwa. We felt that Eleanor really listened and understood us and what we were looking for from the experience and as a result was then able to give specific advise to point us in the right direction in terms of lodges that would best fit with that."

"We really enjoyed our time at Tafika and felt it complemented our time at Flatdogs well, i.e. a good combination of having some time in the busier, more game rich side of the park (around Mfuwe) with some time in the more remote northern side of S. Luangwa.
The guiding at Tafika for the drives and walking safaris was really exceptional showing real expert knowledge and understanding of the area and wildlife.
The food was excellent and as a vegetarian and vegan we were very well catered for.
The whole experience was very relaxed and understated but still quietly impressive, e.g. being met with a canoe for the transfer and then having the surprise dinner by the river on the last night."

For the most part the guiding was too, and clearly the guides we had were well trained, knowledgeable and friendly, but on a couple of occasions we felt we got a bit too close than was necessary to some of the animals we were viewing, causing them undue stress. Keen to say this was the exception to the norm of what we experienced but wanted to still let you know."
