"We received a wonderful and heartfelt welcome so we felt right at home. The hotel was landscaped beautifully and the feel was unpretensious . The rooms were suitable for our short stay. The big surprise was that Expert Africa had let Pioneer know of our anniversary and they had chocolates and a special private dinner on the lawn for us. It was a lovely surprise!"

"What a gem! the setting next to the big lagoon was spectacular and the hippos added the sounds of Africa. Waking in the morning and watching Botswana awaken was a special experience. Foster took us on adventurous and educational drives, with tasty tea breaks. This is the type of camp we had envisioned for our safari. The accomodations had the feel of a historical safari tent while having a subtle feeling of elegance. The staff was outstanding and we were met upon arrival with song and welcoming smiles. We felt at home right away.
As conservation biologists ourselves we were very heartened by Great Plains efforts to protect the wildlife and habitats of the delta and their commitment to the surrounding communities and other educational opportunities."

"Overlooking the pond the main lodge provided an open air feel with excellent food and opportunities to meet others during evening campfires were we were also treated to native song by the friendly staff. The rooms were luxurious and lions roamed the camp each night. Morning was exciting as were able to follow their tracks. The night also brought fantastic stargazing and a lion drinking at the waterhole.

We had not envisioned the Kalahari to be so vegetated with bush making wildlife viewing more challenging, but also special when we did see them. There was adventerous driving with Jacks at the wheel as we searched out rhino and lion.

A very special experience was that of visiting the San at the demonstration area where we were treated to laughter, dance, singing and the opportunity to learn how these people survived in the desert."

"The luxurious and spacious rooms overlooking the lagoon tempted us to stay in the rooms and not go on safari. But the safaris were spectacular! Mr. T our guide and Freeman our tracker took us on exciting and wildlife filled adventures. With tea breaks in the morning and sundowner happy hours followed by a nightdrive, we were well taken care of. The most abundant wildlife was at this camp. The educational opportunities with having two excellent trackers meant that we felt inolved in the experience.
We had the once in a lifetime experience watching a pack of 20 wild dogs chase down an impala with incredible speed and extrodinary pack hunting synchrony.

An evening boat ride provided a different look at the delta. We had cocktails and watched the sun set on Botswana's best diamond."
