Our 2014 safari to Zambia
Zambia between 29 Jun 2014 and 12 Jul 2014
All of the organisational aspects ran perfectly. We were particularly happy with you advice to take a direct charter from Mwaleshi to Old Mondoro as this saved us so much time – we were in a game vehicle at Old Mondoro by 9.30am. We also had the most remote room in each camp, not sure if this was a coincidence, but we were very happy about this nevertheless.

Tafika
"4 Great Days at Tafika"
Saw lots of game and birds but all the leopards and a Pels Fishing Owl chick were highlights. The quality of the guiding was excellent. We also enjoyed a great walk there and going out with John on mountain bikes was a unique experience once we had got the hang of cycling on sand. I’m not great with heights so passed on the microlite although others in camp raved about it.
They were very full days at Tafika and offered great value for money and if anything they could easily trim a bit of time off their morning and evening drives as some of the guests seemed to be struggling to keep up. We also had a peek behind the scenes to see the vegetable garden etc which was fascinating."

Mwaleshi Camp
"An amazing experience at Mwaleshi"
Karen was a superb host and the guiding from Alex was as excellent as it was fun. Given the facilities, the cooking from Brightwell was truly astonishing and to be honest we thought that the food at Mwaleshi surpassed that at Tafika although probably best not to tell them that ;-).
The game viewing here was still very good, even on foot and we managed to get very close to some lions. We could easily imagine returning here at some point in the future."

Old Mondoro Bushcamp
"Old Mondoro Review"
Ryan was a great host – both professional and friendly- nothing was ever too much trouble for him. We were pleasantly surprised by the sheer density of the game – no driving around trying to search for things here. Had some good leopard and lion sitings here in addition to great birding, particularly on the river.
The canoeing down the Zambezi was also very exciting and a highlight of our time here. Being able to see elephants and buffalo drinking in the lagoon from the deck of our room meant that there was no such thing as a siesta."
Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast buffet was very good. Convenient loation for the airport"
