"I would rate it 2.5 stars cheap and cheerful. The rooms were small but clean. The food was adequate but cheap - chicken for dinner 2 nights and pulled beef 3rd night. Breakfast at 0530 consisted of muffins and tea/coffee. The staff were enthusiastic. The guide Vasco was excellent.

"This was by far the best camp that we stayed in. The rooms were good - the food excellent - the staff enthusiastic and competent - the Manager young and very able. They were also the only of 3 camps in which we stayed where they washed mens underpants.

The menu was varied, we got two choices of main course at dinner e.g. steak and fish and the cook could also produce excellent pastries and cakes. Breakfast at 0530 had fruit, cereal, bread, marmalade and muffins.

The Guide "Goms" was excellent"

"The rooms were excellent, best of the three camps which we visited. The food was cheap and poor - chicken, lamb shank and pulled beef. The staff were enthusiastic, but the Manager displayed certain sub-optimal characteristics. I specifically told him "no chicken please" but got it for dinner that evening.

The Guide "Oats" was first class"
