Loved it
Zambia between 1 Aug 2015 and 12 Aug 2015
I would definitely recommend Expert Africa and Robin Pope to anyone. All the people that worked at the camps were really really friendly and nice, those that were local to the area especially so. I also like the ethos on the drives of not crowding the animals with to many vehicles, as great as it is to see the animals, it is still their home. All the guides were extremely respectful of the animals and the environment and very knowledgeable.
I think this has probably been my best holiday ever so far, I was extremely lucky with all the friendly people I met either on the plane or at the camps and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, despite being somewhat scared at the start.
Thank you very much to all involved, public facing and behind the scenes."

Nkwali
"Brief Visit, but was warmly welcomed"

Tena Tena
"Loved It"
The tents were clean and extremely comfortable. the guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was delicious and very healthy, and they catered for my dietary requirements superbly. I really enjoyed the fact that all the guests ate together, travelling on my own it made my trip really enjoyable listening and chatting to everyone else.
I would definitely recommend staying here"

Robin Pope Safaris bush-camp
"Amazing"
Kanga was an absolute wealth of knowledge, both on the walks and watching the stars before dinner. Also appreciated his sense of humor. Chris and Sebastian made us feel safe whilst out in the middle of nowhere, and watching Chris use his skills to move off a hippo was brilliant.
With my new wealth of knowledge I no longer felt as scared of the animals and this really ramped up my enjoyment of the whole safari."

Nsefu
"Game drives were great"
Whilst I was staying at Nsefu, there was also a photography safari group and an individual there to takes photos, at times I felt that everything was run to suit them and that the rest of us had to fit their agenda, whilst I appreciate that we all eat meals together and are courteous and respectful of each other, I did not feel the same happy and fun vibe that I experienced at Tena Tena.
Daudi did an excellent job of getting us viewings of the leopard with its kill, despite the fact that the guys taking photographs (and the resident filming crew) seemed to dominate that type of viewing. Personally I felt a bit slighted by this as we had all paid to stay there and although Daudi did his upmost best, I did feel that they were given somewhat preference, or rather demanded it.
That aside I really enjoyed my drives with Daudi and he was indeed the highlight of my stay there"

Stanley Safari Lodge (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"Perfect place to stay at Victoria falls"
Stanley Safari lodge was a welcome kick back and relax, after the demanding early morning starts on the safari. It was the right distance away from the falls to not be too bothered by the helicopters constant circling, and there was no pressure to constantly be doing activities. If I wanted to be left alone to relax all the staff respected that.
The massage there was also one of the best I have ever had, it may lack the polish of the top resorts and spas but the massage itself was absolutely brilliant.
Our trip to the falls was awesome too."
