First trip but definitely not the last!
Tanzania and 1 other country between 31 Aug 2024 and 9 Sep 2024
"Jessica helped my husband and I plan our first trip to Africa in celebration of our wedding anniversary. She provided great guidance and suggested a trip itinerary to Tanzania and Zanzibar that fit our desires and budget.
We were so impressed that every detail was executed on the ground perfectly. Our transfers, meet and greets, and local flights were exactly as described in our itinerary.
This was a trip of a lifetime for us and Tanzania has forever changed our hearts and lives forever.
Thank you, Jessica!"

"From the moment we landed at the air strip in Nyerere to the bittersweet day we departed, our safari experience at Asilia’s Roho ya Selous was magical.
Our fantastic driver and guide, Goodluck, took us on our first of many adventures and it did not disappoint - giraffes, hippos, and crocs are aplenty! Our guide’s knowledge about every single animal, plant, and bird was astonishing. He was able to answer every single question and we learned so much about this peaceful national park.
We arrived to camp with an incredible welcome of dancing and song, then enjoyed countless meals that were beyond delicious and experienced service that was impeccable. We had several close encounters with wildlife that left us in complete awe - most often we were the only vehicle or one of only a few viewing (there was never a time we had to fight for a spot to see anything).
We were very impressed with the "tent" accommodations. They are spacious and simple, yet luxurious, and we could not have had a better view to see wildlife each day. We even had an elephant walk right up to our tent - so incredible!
Many compliments to the chef!! All of our meals were delicious and beautifully presented - you will not go hungry! There is so much food! Drinks were very good and the staff always offered to customize anything to your liking.
There are too many amazing experiences to describe, but the camp, staff, and guides are what took our trip to the next level. Goodluck, Enalla, Amina, and the entire staff at Roho ya Selous have truly made an impact on our lives and we will cherish the memories we had with them forever.
Do not overlook this wonderful camp and park! Thank you to the camp staff and managers for a truly indescribable trip!"

Pongwe Beach Hotel
"Pongwe Beach Hotel review"

"We had a very relaxing stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel, especially after our exciting safari. We had every intention to take a snorkeling excursion while in Zanzibar, but we were extremely content in enjoying our time by the pool and beach. The hotel grounds are beautiful - it's a very quiet and peaceful area. We also loved how small and intimate it was. There are plenty of beach chairs and hammocks along the water.
When the tide recedes, you can walk the shoreline for what seems like forever. It is really an incredible experience. The one thing that we did not like was that the 'beach boys' wait around like vultures to chase anyone who ventures out to the water to attempt to sell you trinkets or excursions. It made us think twice before we walked around, which kind of put a damper on the whole experience.
The food and drinks were very good. The staff provides a wonderful level of service and everyone is friendly. The manager even surprised us with a custom cake presented with dancing and song at dinner to celebrate our anniversary.
The rooms were spacious and there was a lovely covered porch area with a daybed that we lounged around in and took in the views of the water. The bathrooms could have used a little updating, but everything functioned fine.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Pongwe!"

We visited the pool, which was nice, and had a drink at the pool bar. We had dinner at the restaurant's evening buffet - service was wonderful and presentation and cleanliness was top notch.
You could tell that the staff took much pride in presentation. We experienced the same level of service and food at breakfast the next morning.
Rooms are a nice size; bathroom could have used some attention; but overall, a wonderful stay for one night in the city."
