"What a lovely place this is. We stayed in the main house and loved our room.

The food was great and in fact it was the best steak we tasted on our whole trip. We would recommend Camps Bay Retreat although the view of the crane in the middle of the back garden vista in not ideal."

"The lodge wasn’t quite what we were excepting. We had paid for the upgraded room which was in an out building at the back of the property. The room seemed new although the furnishing seemed out of place.

There seemed to be a slightly strange atmosphere with the staff and when asking why the wi fi didn't work in our room we were told to stand outside and it would work.

The bathroom window was also left open by the cleaner so by the time we returned in the evening from a day out we were eaten alive by mosquitoes.

The breakfast was ok but the lady asking what our plans were for the day acted like she was on commission for us to go to certain restaurants or places of interest.

It wasn't the kind of place we were looking for on our honeymoon."

"A lovely hotel and a beautiful room with amazing sea views. The hotel manager took us on a tour of the hotel and made us feel very welcome.

The hotel was very well positioned and we felt very spoilt. The fish restaurant and breakfast was amazing, we just wish we had stayed for two nights rather than one.

I also had a pedicure that was lovely and my nails three weeks later still look great."
