"Ive had the most wonderful adventure! As a solo traveller who had never travelled long haul, been to Africa or done a safari, I’ve been welcomed & looked after with such commitment & care I couldn’t have felt more safe & secure.
I’ve learnt so much I’ve already forgotten half of it! I’ve seen animals I never knew existed. I’ve been humbled by the sights I’ve seen & in awe of nature & the beautiful wildlife in the South Luangwa National Park. I’ve loved being outside for 2 weeks from sunrise till after sunset with no Wi-Fi or internet to interrupt or distract. I’ve met so many lovely, funny, generous people, from those working in the camps to many of the guests!
I really appreciated the routine the Robin Pope Camps set up, their practise, their 28-day menus, their modus operandi! It made travelling from camp to camp so much easier, knowing the routines of the day! Breakfast over a camp fire at sunrise, the line up of staff waiting to receive you on each return from a game drive, offering a wet towel & wanting to hear how the drive went!
The fresh cakes & pastries & biscuits made every day to accompany the coffee or sundowner picnics on the drives. The host & guides sharing the table at meal times after a long day of driving the jeep over such terrain. The attention to detail made this adventure all the more special.
It is certainly 2 weeks of my life I’ll never forget. And an experience I’d like to have again. Thank you so very much for everything!

I was extremely grateful & happy to be met at the airport at Lusaka, & helped re visas etc. The pick ups & handovers were excellent & made me less anxious about the travelling. Thank you for that too! So professional so thoughtful!

"I was greeted in the dark with smiles & a hot towel and I could have cried. My first camp on my first safari on my first trip to Africa. I was made to feel so welcome!
Kim was a great host. The other guests welcomed me! My first game drive was amazing & I’ll never forget it! Seeing animals I’d never heard of!
Daudi..(spelling?) the guide was so knowledgable…his talk on termites by a huge termite mound I’ll never forget! His passion & commitment & eagerness to share his sights & details was inspiring.
The food and this particular chef on this camp was 5*… really really good! I saw so much & enjoyed what I learnt & the great company on my 2 night, one day, stay there, I was sad to leave & move on!"

"Fantastic camp!
Inspired design around the tent incorporating trees & tent canopies! Loved the bathroom area outside! I’ve never brushed my teeth whilst watching a hippo slowly walk past in front of me!
Felt so safe with the night watchmen patrolling the camp through the night. Im not good with frogs but the night watchman checked the outside bathroom area for me every night!
Again, great guides, great company, great food, great jeep rides …had 4 nights there & again didn’t want to leave!"

"I loved loved loved this camp too!
Ingenious air con system!
Opened my cotton curtains as dawn rose to see elephants walking through the camp!
A lovely, smiling, funny & welcoming hostess! Again , great food and amazing guides.
Did a walking safari and really enjoyed learning about the smaller five, animal Pooh & footprints and being on the ground!
Again didn’t want to leave!"

The eclectic art work on the walls, with information on the artists, was stunning.
I relaxed with a lovely facial massage in the beautifully tranquil health spa.
The design of the work spaces & meeting rooms to rent was very inspiring!
The food menu had a good choice of meals.
I didn’t really want a stop over in a hotel before starting the safari. I’m now so pleased I did & stayed here, as I’d have missed a quality experience & introduction to Zambia!"
